OLEAN, N.Y. — Growing nationwide demand for Bamboo Strategy Group’s residential electric vehicle charging products and expertise has led the Olean-based consulting firm to expand its fulfillment operation through a new partnership with Intandem Solutions.
As residential charger sales have grown, Bamboo has begun maintaining inventory locally and has partnered with Intandem Solutions to provide warehousing and order fulfillment for chargers purchased through Bamboo’s online store at https://www.BambooStrategy.Group/chargers. The partnership keeps that growing operation local while giving Bamboo access to the fulfillment capabilities needed to support customers across the country. Bamboo currently offers residential EV chargers from Emporia, United Chargers, which makes the popular Grizzl-E series, and Soneil Spark.
The expansion represents a natural next step for Bamboo Strategy Group’s sustainability business line, which includes EV charging, solar solutions and consulting for businesses, organizations and individuals navigating EV ownership, charging infrastructure and fleet transitions. Until this year, Bamboo’s EV work had focused primarily on commercial charging projects, fleet planning and helping clients understand the equipment, infrastructure and practical considerations involved in going electric.
“This year, we’ve seen the residential side of our EV charging business expand beyond expectations,” said Adam Jester, Founder and CEO of Bamboo Strategy Group. “More EV owners are finding us when they need help choosing a charger, understanding how charging works or simply purchasing reliable equipment at a reasonable price.” Jester said orders have been coming in from across the country, including as far away as Hawaii.
Bamboo’s local EV charging work has included six public charging ports behind Sunny Olean LLC in downtown Olean and a workplace charging project for Olean manufacturer SolEpoxy — which received National Grid Make-Ready and NYSERDA Charge Ready NY incentives, respectively.
“Someone buying their first EV may simply need to know which charger belongs in their garage,” Jester said. “A business may be looking at workplace charging for employees or a fleet, while a municipality or commercial property owner may be trying to understand a much larger infrastructure project, available incentives and the equipment required. Bamboo Strategy Group can be a resource at every one of those levels.”
As residential orders increased, Jester said keeping fulfillment in-house was neither practical nor the best use of the company’s resources.
“I can create the demand, help customers select the right equipment and continue building the EV side of Bamboo, but I simply don’t have the bandwidth to receive inventory, pack boxes and ship every order myself,” Jester said. “Choosing Intandem Solutions was an easy decision. I know the organization, I know the capabilities of the team, and I have a great deal of confidence in their operation.”
Intandem Solutions provides third-party logistics services including warehousing, inventory management, e-commerce and retail fulfillment, and returns processing. The social enterprise serves businesses ranging from small companies to large commercial partners while supporting a larger community mission.
Net revenue generated by Intandem Solutions supports parent organization Intandem, a Western New York nonprofit providing services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Intandem Solutions also creates employment opportunities for people of all abilities through its operations.
