Villaggio is hosting Ellicottville’s Largest Disco Party on Friday, November 13th from 7-11pm. The evening transforms the venue into a 1970’s dance party featuring retro dance music, festive cocktails, and disco themed attire. This is the third year Villaggio has hosted this event and it’s sure to be a fun and festive evening for all.
Owner and founder Nick Pitillo hosted the first disco party at Villaggio in 2017 with the second in 2018, both with a great turnout. “It was a huge success,” remarks Nick. “We took a pause for a few years but we’re excited to bring the event back to the community.” Nick and the Villaggio team decided to bring the disco back and bring people together in the ‘in between’ season. “It’s great to get everyone together and just have a good time; and it’s always more fun with a theme. Good people, good music and great outfits!”
The disco will take place on Friday, November 13th from 7-11pm with tickets only $10 for general admission. An early bird buffet will be offered from 5-7pm upstairs, offering the opportunity to have a meal before the main disco event. VIP tables are available for $300 for up to 6 people including dinner from 6-7pm, VIP seating with snacks and bottle service. “It’s a great option for a more premium experience; it works out to be around $50/person with a full table of six,” explains Nick.
Prizes will be awarded for best dressed among other categories to be announced. The buffet menu includes Villaggio favorites of pasta, meatballs, house salad and more.
The Disco is a bit of a nod to the former Rusty Nail disco, regional nightlife scene of the 1970’s, on 219 (current Holiday Valley facilities building) as well as the Jamestown and Limestone locations. “My family used to own the Rusty Nail,” comments Nick. “So, there’s a family connection as well as the spin off Buffalo’s World’s Largest Disco.”
Villaggio will transform into a full-on disco scene with large mirror ball, 70’s themed décor and live DJ spinning high-energy tracks reflective of the times. “The whole venue is transformed,” comments Andrea Austin, General Manager. “I love ordering the décor and setting the scene. We invite everyone to dress up in their best disco costumes and get ready to boogie the night away!”
