Event Next Saturday, September 26 at Madigan’s – $15 Tasting Tickets
ELLICOTTVILLE — The Rotary Club of Ellicottville is bringing the community together for an evening of good food, friendly competition and fun when its third annual Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser returns to Madigan’s on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The event will take place from 4-7pm at Madigan’s, located at 36 Washington St., offering an evening of chili tasting, live music and community fundraising. Proceeds will support the Rotary Club’s efforts to fund local community service projects, including the food pantry, youth leadership programs, educational scholarships, mental health initiatives and com-munity beautification efforts.
Tasting tickets will be available at the door for $15. Attendees will be able to sample unlimited chili and cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award, one of the evening’s most anticipated honors. Discounted early-bird tasting tickets are available exclusively online through Sept. 19th for $10.
The evening will feature live music by local musician Tom Dietrick, along with several opportunities to support the Rotary Club’s community initiatives. Guests can participate in a 50/50 drawing, browse a themed basket raffle featuring dozens of gift baskets donated by local businesses and bid in a silent online auction offering local goods, handcrafted treasures and unique experiences.
In addition to the in-person festivities, the Rotary Club’s online silent auction provides an opportunity to shop for yourself, find a special gift or plan a memorable getaway while sup-porting local community projects.
Auction highlights include a Cutco Studio +4 Knife Set with Block, featuring knives manufactured right here in Olean; a one-night, two-day midweek ski or golf package for two at the Inn at Holiday Valley; and an eight-hour pontoon rental from Holiday Harbor Marina in Celoron.
Golf enthusiasts can bid on an 18-hole foursome, including carts, at Springville Country Club. Other offerings include a handcrafted ash bench or coffee table created by Mike Weishan, showcasing the natural beauty of ash wood, and an overnight stay at the Wingate by Wyndham in Ellicottville.
With chili, live music, raffles and an online auction featuring something for just about every-one, the Sept. 26 fundraiser offers a fun way to spend an autumn afternoon while helping the Rotary Club continue its work throughout the community.
