Holiday Valley Snowsports School is featuring the ninth annual “Your Turn” women’s clinic on Wednesday and Thursday, January 25 and 26, 2023 led by Lisa Densmore Ballard, a widely acclaimed coach, instructor and ski racer and assisted by several of Holiday Valley’s finest women instructors. Intermediate through advanced level skiers (can comfortably ski blues, some black diamonds) will benefit from this clinic. The clinic will begin at 8AM with registration and breakfast. Cost of the clinic is $359.00 and it includes 2 days of coaching, demo equipment, breakfast and lunch each day plus dinner on Thursday. Specially priced lift tickets will be available. Lodging specials at the Inn at Holiday Valley are available.
Clinic Schedule: The clinic will include a continental breakfast each day, talks about ski equipment and proper boot fitting, 2 lunches and one dinner, plenty of skiing with Lisa and HV Instructors, video analysis of each participant, demo equipment and door prizes! Lodging and lift tickets are not included, but are available at special rates. Here’s a tentative schedule, that is subject to change as needed.
Wednesday, January 25th: 8:00-8:30 Sign-in and breakfast, 8:30-9:30 “Trends in Women’s Ski Gear” and select demo skis – Base of Mardi Gras Lift, 9:30-11:30 Group skiing and video, 11:30-12:30 Video analysis, 12:00-1:00 lunch and select new demo skis, 1:00-3:30 Group skiing and video, return demo skis, 3:00-4:00 Video analysis – Explorer / Maple Leaf, 5:30-6:30 Boot Camp and 7:00-8:00 Dinner.
Thursday, January 26st: 8:00-9:00 Sign-in and breakfast. Select Demo skis, 9:00-10:00 Meet at GS Course, location TBD. Presentation by Lisa, “Gates 101: A Tool to Help You Ski Better”, 10:00-Noon Ski the GS Course. Video, 12:00-1:00 Lunch and select new demo skis, 1:00-3:00 Group skiing specialty clinics and 3:00 – 3:30 Return demo skis. Door prizes and wrap up at demo area.
