Local restaurant owner Jeremy Casel has owned Jeremy’s Belview Restaurant on Foote Avenue in Jamestown for 20 years. He’s had a very successful business there with a fun bar atmosphere and a delicious food menu. Jeremy and his wife Miranda recently decided to purchase the Busti Tap House located at 792 Busti-Sugar Grove Road in the Hamlet of Busti. They purchased the Busti Tap House in the fall of 2023 and officially opened it January of 2024.
When you enter the Busti Tap House, you will see that it has a variety of seating. In the dining area there are high tops as well as low tables. There is a lounge area with comfortable chairs as well as a fireplace. The variety of seating enables everyone to be comfortable. There is cozy seating for two as well as seating for larger groups, and they also can accommodate private parties.
There is an outside deck that provides more seating options. You can access the deck through the bar area and also through a garage door that opens from the lounge. As the weather gets nicer, musicians can play inside or outside and can still be heard throughout the whole restaurant. There is a ramp out front, so the Tap House is handicap accessible for those who need it.
At the bar there are plenty of bar stools for additional seating, whether you’re waiting to be seated for dinner or if you just want to relax and have a beverage. While at the bar you will find that there’s plenty of local beers on tap including a variety of Southern Tier beers. They also have domestic beers, a wine list, and a full bar.
Jeremy and Miranda want the Tap House to be a little different than the Belview, to give their customers variety in their dining options. It has a different vibe as well as a different type of menu. The menu at the Busti Tap house does have some of the same food as the Belview like wings, fingers, and burgers. The Tap House menu also includes a wide variety of dinner entrees including shrimp scampi, steaks, and fish to name a few. There will also be daily specials to add to the great menu choices. When describing the Tap House, Jeremy said, “The Busti Tap House has a comfortable, casual, and fun atmosphere. We have a great menu and I think there’s something here that everyone will enjoy.”
This establishment does have a lot to offer its customers, and Jeremy said, so far everything is going very well. He has gotten plenty of good reviews and comments and people have really enjoyed having a restaurant that has live music. The live music has mostly been when they have their Sunday Fundays on Sunday afternoons, although they have had music on a few other evenings as well. Some of the local musicians that they have had would include Dark Water Duo, Miranda Wilcox, Tyler McClain, and Black Widow (acoustic). In the near future, Jeremy and Miranda are hoping to have more live music on other days and hopefully when the weather gets nicer, the Tap House may have live music outside.
This Sunday, the Tap House will be open on St Patrick’s Day from 1pm-9pm. Corned beef and cabbage and green beer will be available to get you into the holiday spirit. Lenny and the Landsharks will be playing from 2pm-4:30pm. This duo play a variety of upbeat music and it’s sure to be a fun afternoon. Later than evening, Brianna Blankenship will entertain the crowd from 6pm-9pm with her country music style.
The Busti Tap House is open from 4pm-10pm Wednesdays through Saturdays, and 1pm-9pm on Sundays. Since opening, the Busti Tap House has been very busy, especially on the weekends. When he was asked why he opened another restaurant, Jeremy stated, “I enjoy the restaurant business and getting to know my customers, and they soon become friends. I also have a great staff and the staff has become family.”
