It’s time to celebrate Easter and there are several Easter festivities in the area that you and your family will want to consider attending. Here are a few we recommend:
Fredonia will be having its Easter Festival on March 23rd, 2024, from 9am-1pm. They will be serving a pancake breakfast at the Fredonia First Methodist Church on Church Street. While you are there, you can have breakfast with the Easter Bunny and have your picture taken with him. There will also be craft vendors in the basement of the First Church Fredonia from 9am-1pm. At 12:30pm, there will be the Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Barker Commons. If you’d like to volunteer for this event or for more information, go to festivalsfredoniany.org/easter-festival.
The Chautauqua Safety Village in Ashville will be having an Easter Carnival on March 23rd from 11am-2pm. Their admission to this festival is $5 per person, with children under two free. Your admission includes a bounce house, (weather permitting), carnival games, a carnival style funhouse, crafts, and train rides around the village. Marty the Bubble Guy, who puts on a fun musical show, will be performing at noon. Explore the village where candy will be handed out. Kettle corn and other food and drinks will be available. There will be a visit from the Easter Bunny with photo opportunities. Most of the activities will be outdoors, so please dress accordingly. If you want more information on this event, go to

The community is invited to the 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Randolph American Legion. The Easter Egg Hunt will start at 10am, but you can get in starting at 9am. There will be raffles and a chance to have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. This will take place outside, weather permitting, so dress accordingly.
In Gowanda, you can hop on the Peter Cottontail Express on March 23rd and 24th. The Peter Cotton Tail Express is a two-hour round-trip train ride to South Dayton. During the thirty-minute layover in South Dayton, there will be an Easter egg hunt, weather permitting. Each child will be allowed to find five eggs. In the event of rain, the Easter Bunny will hand out five eggs to each child. You will be able to take some fun pictures along this excursion. There are departures each day at 11am and 2pm. You should arrive one hour before departure to check-in and get your tickets at the Gowanda Depot, which is located at 50 Commercial Street in Gowanda, NY.
The City of Jamestown Parks and Recreation and Conservation Department will be having its 76th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. As in many years in the past, this event will be held in Allen Park on Saturday, March 30th at 11am. This event is for children ages 12 and under. There will be lots of eggs hidden but keep your eyes open for the special prize eggs. There will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny.
The Bemus Point Golf and Tap House will be having an Easter Egg Hunt on March 30th starting at 10:30am. There will be 3000 eggs hidden. Children will search within four age groups for the egg hunt. After the egg hunt, you can enjoy lunch with the Easter Bunny and have your picture taken with him.
The Ellicottville Volunteer Firemen’s Department will be having an Easter Egg Hunt on March 30, 2024. It will take place at the Ellicottville Town Park starting at 1 pm. In case of inclement weather, it will be held in the Ellicottville Firehall.
You and your family can enjoy the Easter Bunny and Spring Fun Fundraising Event on March 30th from 2pm-4pm. This event will be held at 6550 Southwestern Blvd. in Lakwood, NY. There will be a visit with the Easter Bunny with plenty of photo opportunities. You will have fun playing games and participating in the obstacle course. There will be face painting and basket raffles. Come join the fun and help a worthy cause.
