Sydnie Beattie is owner of the new stylish Children’s Boutique, 3 Sprouts, located at 13 Monroe Street in the village of Ellicottville. The shop opened this past June, and offers a fresh, modern shopping experience carrying a variety of items for children ages newborn through teen.

Named after her 3 children, Kinsley, Ada and Emery, Sydnie was inspired to open a shop as she loved dressing her daughters. She recognized the charm in Ellicottville saw the opportunity and need for a children’s boutique in the area. “I’d always dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur. I loved shopping and styling my girls, and one day when driving through Ellicottville it just hit me. I realized there were no children’s boutiques in the area, and I decided to seize the opportunity and open one.”

The shop carries a variety of clothing sizes newborn through 14 along with toys, accessories, gifts and select home/nursery décor. Sydnie keeps a large stock of Buffalo Bills apparel for kids and adults in her Buffalo Bills themed room, along with accessories, hats and books. She also sells handmade wooden Bills décor made by her Uncle. “The Bills room is a lot of fun, I tried to select a variety of pieces that would be crowd pleasers. Bills fans love to show their pride so I’m sure it’ll be a hit!”

Sydnie listens to customer feedback when selecting items for the store. “I like to listen to my customers and see what people are looking for. I frequently take polls on social media to see what people are interested in to help me decide on brands and types of clothing.” Sydnie also recognizes the importance of shopping small and supports local vendors. “I keep a variety of local items in stock and plan to rotate them as needed. It’s important to shop small and support each other in this market.”

Growing up in Great Valley, Sydnie has local roots and is currently living back in Great Valley. She is looking forward to being a part of the Ellicottville community and participating in village events. “The community has been so supportive and welcoming already. Ellicottville has such a fun atmosphere and has really transformed into a four-seasons resort town. I’m looking forward to being a part of it!”

Watch for pop up sidewalk sales outside the shop, where Sydnie has been placing her sale items and clearance rack. Be sure to stop in and check out her new merchandise, which she rotates frequently.
