The 6th Annual Gear, Beer & Movie Premiere is ready once again to launch the ski season. The free, family-friendly event, hosted by the 42 North Brewing Company and the Mud, Sweat n’ Gears Ski Shop, will be at 42 North’ Brewing Company’s East Aurora location (25 Pine Street), on Sunday, November 8th, from 1-6pm. There will be beer (of course), plus, beginning at 2pm, live music by Owen Eichensehr and Pat Harrington, vendors’ booths, raffles with great ski-related prizes, and, as the grand finale for the party, a movie premiere. The movie that will be making its debut is “Inside the Season”, presented by the Head and Tyrolia Freeskiing Team.

The event will benefit adaptive ski programs at participating resorts all around Western New York. The programs enable athletes dealing with physical challenges to enjoy time on the slopes by providing special equipment.

Those who purchase raffle tickets will have a chance at winning some of the seven thousand dollars’ worth of ski merchandise and other valuable prizes up for grabs. The prizes include skis and boots, ski lessons and ski passes, a five-day getaway to Park City, Utah, and ski passes to Whiteface Mountain. Raffle tickets will be available at the party and are now also available at both Mud, Sweat N’ Gears locations, at 18 Monroe Street in Ellicottville, and 669 Main Street in East Aurora. The raffle tickets are twenty dollars each, two for thirty-five dollars, and three for fifty dollars. The raffles will be drawn at 5pm. Every penny of the proceeds will go towards supporting adaptive skiing

John Cimperman, the founder of 42 North Brewing Company, said, “We are big supporters of the adaptive ski programs in this region. We hope that folks engage with some of the vendors to support this great cause.”

Fun Fact: Holiday Valley, the Buffalo Ski Club, Holimont, Swain and Kissing Bridge will be at the party offering ski passes for the approaching ski season. For more information, look at the Facebook page for the 42 North Brewing Company.
