The most popular products at M & M Pickles (which are sometimes sold out) are the very hottest! The place with the provocative-sounding email address “setyourpickleonfire@gmail.com”, and a slyly grinning pickle face on every jar, offers Extra Hot pickles, which derive their hot wattage from serrano peppers (sold out at the moment); blisteringly hot Buffalo Punch Pickles, which include jalapeno, serrano, habanero and Fresno peppers (likewise sold out); and, the hottest product of all, pickles chips loaded with Carolina reaper, Trinidad scorpion, ghost and chocolate habanero peppers (also sold out.) But hot pickle lovers can always find satisfaction with M & M selections! Besides the store at 6995 Transit Road in East Amherst (where there are always free samples), the flaming hot pickles can always be found in other places such as Dilly Dallies in Springville, as well as at many festivals, farmers markets and events throughout the year.

Recently the pickles were for sale at the Bemus Point Fall Festival, Cuba Garlic Festival, The Cleveland Pickelfest, Picklepalooza in in Altamont, NY; Picklefest in Buffalo, at Riverworks; and the North Tonawanda and Williamsville Farmers Markets. The North Tonawanda Farmers Market is always open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7am-1pm and the Williamsville Farmer’s Market is open Saturdays between 8am-1pm until October 31st. Orders can be placed through the website (and windsorvillageshops.com). “We will deliver locally in Buffalo for free, for orders over $40, with a few days’ notice”, said owners Mark and Karrie Buell. “Specialties are available in rotation through the seasons, and include carrots, asparagus, onions, beets, pickled garlic, beans, olives and eggs.”
“M & M Pickles began as a hobby but soon turned into a business.”, they continued. “Now we can’t stop making all things pickled!” Besides the seriously hot items, and the various pickled vegetables and eggs, there are classic dill pickles, garlic pickles, sweet pickles, “sweet heat” pickles (with freshly sliced banana peppers), “sweet burn” pickles (with some jalapenos added), “sweet fire” pickles (with mixed serrano peppers) and more choices. The “Mixed Gift Bag” is a combination of half a dozen eight-ounce jars, including whichever flavors the customer prefers. For more information, go to the M & M Pickles Facebook page (which features many rave reviews), email setyourpickleonfire@gmail.com, mypicklesonfire.com or call (716) 834-5549. Fun Fact: The grinning pickle on every jar boldly declares, “My pickle is on fire!”
