If you love to listen to live music and want to support local musicians, then the Jamestown Whirlybird Music and Arts Festival is just the right event for you. This year’s Whirlybird Festival will be taking place on August 28th and 29th in the Jamestown area. The Whirlybird Music and Arts Festival is a multi-venue music festival that takes place at nine venues with over 20 shows performed.
The first Whirlybird Music Festival took place in 2018 and was organized by Miki Girts. Miki had the vison of an event that would give local musicians a platform to showcase their talent that would be easily accessible to the community. Miki has continued to organize the Whirlybird Festival each year since, and it is now a two-day festival that has gotten bigger and better.
Some events are for all ages and are free to the public. There are several evening 21+ shows and some will have a cover charge at the door. For convenience, people that want to attend most or all these paid events can purchase a festival pass that gives you admittance to all the paid shows. Sales for festival passes ends on Aug 28th.
This year’s venues will include the Winter Garden Plaza at 313 N. Main Street, Wicked Warrens Jamestown at 119 W. 3rd Street, Jamestown Wine Cellar at 309 N. Main Street, Raven and Ruin at 381Washington Street, Haggy’s 4 Below at 104 E. 2nd Street, Labyrinth Press Company at12 E. 4th Street, the Jamestown Skate Products at 207 Pine Street, 2 Gingers Inn at 1118 East 2nd Street, and at the Jamestown Farmers Market near Third and Pine Street.

The Winter Garden block party will include vendors, Taco Hut, and beer from Wicked Warrens. There will also be live painting demonstrations by local artists.

This festival is being held on the second-year anniversary date of Lifted Dispensary in Jamestown, which is the title sponsor of the event. The festival would not be possible without their support. A special thanks to Lifted Dispensary and all the other sponsors who contributed to the festival. Additionally, Lifted will be open from 10am-8pm during the festival.
