The Tri-County Arts Council (TCAC) invites the community to celebrate August Performance Month, a month dedicated to bringing people together through live music, culture, and artistic expression.
A featured event of the month will be a performance by IndigeRoots, an Indigenous artist group, from Salamanca, NY, whose performances celebrate Native culture through traditional music, dance, storytelling, and contemporary artistic expression. Their performance offers audiences an opportunity to the rich cultural traditions and living heritage of Indigenous communities while promoting understanding, appreciation, and dialogue.
“Performance has the unique ability to connect people across cultures and generations,” said Executive Director Megan Davis. “We are honored to welcome IndigeRoots as part of August Performance Month and to provide our community with opportunities to experience live performances that celebrate creativity, culture, and community in our unique space.”
August Performance Month reflects TCAC’s ongoing commitment to increasing access to the arts throughout Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties. By presenting diverse performances in an inclusive environment, the organization continues its mission of enriching the region through arts and culture.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and experience the energy and inspiration of live performance Saturday, August 1, 6pm at the Tri-County Arts Council Peg Bothner Gallery, 110 West State St in Olean.
