A synchronized fireworks and music experience is coming to Chautauqua Lake for the Fourth of July

Bemus Point, NY – Two Chautauqua Lake communities are coming together in a big way for America’s 250th anniversary.

The Bemus Point Business Association (BPBA), Village of Mayville, Skylighters, and Kix Country 96.5FM & 100.3FM are excited to announce a special synchronized fireworks and music experience planned for Saturday, July 4, 2026.

At 10PM, fireworks will launch in coordination across Chautauqua Lake while visitors throughout the region tune into Kix Country 96.5FM & 100.3FM to hear an official patriotic soundtrack synchronized to the displays. Organizers hope the collaboration will create one of the most memorable Fourth of July celebrations Chautauqua Lake has ever seen.

As part of the celebration, Bemus Point and Mayville are also expanding their traditional fireworks displays into extended 25-minute shows in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

Both the Village of Bemus Point and the Village of Mayville are also exploring ways to pipe the synchronized music into public viewing areas throughout their communities so visitors gathered along the lakefront, parks, and village centers can experience the soundtrack together during the show. Both Mayor Jeff Molnar of Bemus Point and Mayor Richard Syper of Mayville have expressed excitement about the collaboration and the opportunity to create a larger regional celebration around Chautauqua Lake.

“This is something really special for our communities,” said Kelley Marker, Executive Director of the Bemus Point Business Association. “The Fourth of July has always been such an important tradition around Chautauqua Lake, and being able to collaborate to create a synchronized experience felt like the perfect way to celebrate.”

“This collaboration is a wonderful way to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary while also highlighting the strong connection between our lake communities,” said Rita Jacobson on behalf of Mayville’s Fourth of July Committee. “We’re excited to work together to create something memorable for both residents and visitors around Chautauqua Lake.”

The synchronized production is being coordinated across both communities to create a fully unified fireworks and music experience across the lake.

Organizers say the collaboration reflects a shared goal of creating a larger regional celebration that supports local tourism, encourages visitors to spend the holiday weekend around Chautauqua Lake, and showcases the area as a premier summer destination in Western New York.

Additional details, sponsorship opportunities, viewing information, and entertainment announcements will be released in the coming weeks as planning continues.
