Jamestown, N.Y.
You are invited to celebrate Earth Day at Audubon Community Nature Center by joining staff and other volunteers to work on projects to maintain and improve the Nature Center building and grounds.
On Volunteer Day morning, Saturday, April 18, volunteers will split into groups to tackle different projects such as sprucing up the gardens, cleaning, grounds work, and more. This is a family-friendly event with something for all ages and abilities.
To register ahead of time, call the Nature Center at (716) 569-2345, or go online to auduboncnc.org. While the program is free, click through check-out to complete your registration. Walk-ins the morning of the event are welcome.
Registration is from 9–9:15am. Work parties tackle their jobs between 9:30am-noon. After all the hard work, you are invited to celebrate your accomplishments by staying for lunch.

This event happens rain or shine, so dress for the weather and bring work gloves if you have them.
If there are other volunteer projects you would like to tackle – like gardening, mailing committee, buildings and grounds, or lending a hand at events – you can contact Volunteer Coordinator Sharon Tefft (pictured) at (716) 569-2345 or STefft@AudubonCNC.org.
Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa. You can visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve, look in on the live birds of prey, enjoy the Natural Play Space, and hike the six miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free.
