Easter is just around the corner, and Western New York is bustling with Easter egg hunts and other fun activities for you and your family to enjoy. With spring in the air, hopefully these events will be outdoors, weather permitting, so please dress appropriately. These festive Easter activities will take place on Saturday, April 4th, unless otherwise noted.
The Bemus Point Golf Club and Tap House will host an Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny is scheduled to arrive at 10:30am, followed by the egg hunt. Over 3,000 eggs will be hidden, and the children will be divided into four separate age groups. After the egg hunt, feel free to stay and enjoy a delicious lunch.
The Westfield community is excited to announce their Bunny Hop Stop event. On Friday, April 3rd, there will be activities at the Patterson Library from 11am-2pm, including an Easter egg hunt, movies, and other activities. Additional activities at the library will continue Saturday, along with the community Easter Egg Hunt in Moore Park at 10am. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around the community, and participating businesses will host Easter-themed activities from 11am-3pm.
Frewsburg is having an Easter egg hunt for children 12 and younger that will take place at 11am. The hunt will be held outdoors (weather permitting) at the Frewsburg High School. If the weather is inclement, it will be relocated indoors to the school’s old gym. Please bring a bag or basket.
There will be an Easter egg hunt at Webb’s Resort in Mayville at 11am for children 12 yrs old and under. Lots of Easter eggs, including some special golden eggs, will be hidden on the putt-putt golf course, weather permitting. Otherwise, it will be held indoors.
Nola’s Angels and Horse Rescue in Panama is hosting an Easter egg hunt. They will open at 1pm, and the egg hunt will begin at 2pm. The children will be lined up in age groups by 2pm. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance, and there will be popcorn and prizes.
The Hideaway Bay Resort in Silver Creek is having an Easter egg hunt on the beach. This unique hunt will start at 11am and will include some special prizes and lots of fun. Kids can meet the Easter Bunny, and you may want to stay to enjoy a tasty brunch.
The Peter Cottontail Express in Gowanda is running its final day of this festive activity on April 4th. This two-hour train ride includes a 30-minute layover in South Dayton, a visit from the Easter Bunny with photo opportunities, and an egg hunt. Departures are at 11am and 2pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Gowanda Depot located at 50 Commercial Street or by visiting nylerailroad.com.

The Olean Youth and Recreation Department will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11am at War Vets Park, located on East State Street. There will be four age groups for children aged 9 and under, and the first 400 children will receive a gift bag. Also, the 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the JCC Olean campus at 2pm, sponsored by the Salvation Army, with thousands of eggs hidden for children to find.
In Portville, Sprague’s Maple Farms will host an Easter breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9am-1pm with some photo opportunities. Following the breakfast, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at 1pm with over 1,800 eggs that will be hidden. There will be four age groups for children aged 10 years and under, including some special prizes.
Ellicottville will be having its annual Easter egg hunt that will take place at 1pm at the Ellicottville Town Park, or at the Ellicottville Fire Hall in case of inclement weather. There will be age groups for the hunt with plenty of eggs for everyone to find.
As it has for many years, the Chautauqua Mall will have the Easter Bunny in the middle of the mall. You and your family can have a visit and have your picture taken with him from 12-4pm.
There is a variety of Easter egg hunts, visits with the Easter Bunny, and other festivities for you and your family to enjoy. Hopefully the weather will cooperate since most are planned to be outdoors. May you and your family have a safe and Happy Easter.
