It’s time to celebrate Easter with a variety of activities and locations throughout Western New York. Most of the activities will be outdoors, so please dress accordingly. Let’s see what fun Easter festivities are taking place in Western New York during the next couple of weeks.

Saturday, April 5th – The community is invited to the 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Randolph American Legion at 10am. It will be organized by age groups and will feature some fun prizes. You can arrive at 9am for photo opportunities.
Join the Peter Cottontail Express in Gowanda on April 5th-6th for a two-hour train ride with a 30-minute layover in South Dayton. Enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and fun photo ops. Departures are at 11am and 2pm. (This event takes place on the 12th and 13th as well.) Get tickets at the Gowanda Depot at 50 Commercial Street or visit nylerailroad.com.
Saturday, April 12th -Jamestown’s Parks and Recreation Department will have its 77th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, held at Allen Park at 11am. This event is for children ages 12 and under and will be split into three age groups. They will be hiding thousands of candy-filled eggs as well as some special prize eggs for each age group. If the weather is bad, it will be held indoors at the former Allen Park Ice Rink.
Falconer is having their Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 1-12 at Falconer Park starting at 10am. You are encouraged to bring your own basket to carry all the treats that you find.
Fredonia is having its Easter Festival from 9am-1pm. There will be a pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Fredonia First Methodist Church on Church Street. You can have your picture taken with him and there will be crafts for kids. At 12:30pm, the annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place in Barker Commons.
The Chautauqua Safety Village in Ashville will host a Bluey Easter Carnival from 11am-2pm. Admission is $5 for ages 2 and up and will include a bounce house (weather permitting), crafts, and train rides. Candy will be handed out, along with a meet and greet and photo ops with Bluey, Bingo, and Paw Patrol.
The Bemus Point Golf and Tap House will be having an Easter Egg Hunt on April 12th starting at 10:30am. Over 3000 eggs will be hidden. Children will search within four age groups for the egg hunt. After the egg hunt, you can enjoy lunch with the Easter Bunny and have your picture taken with him.
Sunday, April 13th – Mayville is having their Easter Egg Hunt at Lakeside Park at 2pm. There will be over 10,000 eggs hidden, and there will be three age groups. As prizes, two free bicycles for each age group will be given away.
There will be an Easter Eggstravaganza at Killa Kookies and Cream, located at 3423 Fluvanna Avenue near Jamestown, on April 13th. This event will feature vendors and a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, complete with photo opportunities from 12-4pm. The egg hunt will take place in three stages for different age groups: Under 5 years old at 1pm, 5yrs to 9yrs at 2pm, and 10 yrs-14yrs at 3pm.
Saturday, April 19th – Olean’s Youth and Recreation Department will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11am at the War Vets Park located at 551 E. State Street. There will be 4 age groups, and the first 400 children will receive a gift bag.
In Dunkirk, they will be having an Easter Carnival for the community on Saturday from 12-2pm in Stearns Court (next to Central Station Restaurant), and within the Stearns Building Training Center. There will be carnival games, crafts, goodie bags, light refreshments, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Also, on April 19th, Sprague’s Maple Farms in Portville will have an Easter breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9am-1pm. Then, at 1pm, they will have an Easter Egg Hunt where over 1800 eggs will be hidden with four age groups and special prizes.
In Ellicottville, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at 1pm at the Ellicottville Town Park, or at the Ellicottville Fire Hall in case of inclement weather. There will be plenty of eggs to find for everyone.
All over Western New York, you and your family will find lots of Easter Egg Hunts and festivities to enjoy. Hopefully, you can enjoy some of these Easter activities and find those eggs and special prizes. Happy Easter to all!
