Do you love the intrigue of trying to figure out clues to solve a crime? March 8-10, 2024, the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel is hosting a Murder Mystery Weekend called Hunt a Killer. Last year the hotel held this type of event, and it was a big success. They decided to have the mystery weekend return to the hotel, with a new mystery including new clues and suspects.
This Murder Mystery Weekend is presented by Keith O’Leary and Margo Morrison. Keith and Margo have masterminded an exciting and memorable weekend, that puts guests right in the middle of a homicide investigation that includes, murder, intrigue, and interactive audience participation. Your party will be part of the show as you are presented with a murder case and clues to help you solve the case. The mystery includes six to eight professional actors, but part of the mystery is that you are left in the dark who are the actors and who are guests. You are invited to join this unique show at this luxurious hotel. It has been said to be an unusual spine-tingling experience that will challenge even the best super sleuths.
After checking in Friday afternoon, you will be attending a cocktail reception at 7pm. Here you will partake is an open bar and appetizers. You will meet your murder mystery host and will be given a list of suspects and other information. You should take this time to mingle and interact with other guests and before you know it, you are smack dab in the middle of the murder mystery. You will be surprised at how the murder unfolds and who is going to be the person that gets killed. You never know who it might be.
The mystery continues the next morning at breakfast from 9-10am. At this time and at other meals and receptions is when clues will be presented if you are observant. From 10am-1pm you will have some free time but be sure to be back at the hotel by 1pm for lunch. There are sure to be some twists and turns in the case that you don’t want to miss. This is where your super sleuth deductions will come in handy, as you try to sift through the clues thus far.
After lunch you will have some more free time to relax and enjoy the hotel amenities or explore the area. You might want to go to the National Comedy Center or The Lucy Desi Museum or other local attractions. You can always refer to the hotel concierge or front desk for other ideas.
At 7pm, make your way to the reception to enjoy more clues and mingling with other guests. At this point you my think that your investigative mind has a good idea of who the culprit is. But wait… there could be a new development that could help you crack the case. The fun continues throughout dinner as the intrigue mounts, while you try to solve this complex case. After dinner, you will have the rest of the evening to yourself. At this point you may just want to relax in your room or by one of the outside firepits. You could go out and about to check out the area. Some may want to hang out in the bar and interact with other guests, still focused on interpreting the clues of the case, before retiring for the night.
After a good night’s sleep, join everyone for brunch at 10am. When you enter the room for brunch is when you will hand in your final solution to who you think is guilty of the crime. Then the final scene is played out and the final solution to the mystery is revealed. Were you right? At the conclusion, a grand prize will be awarded for the best answer along with some other Boobie prizes.
Your weekend package will include the following: • Two-night accommodations (double occupancy) • Use of all hotel amenities • Friday night open bar reception and unlimited hors d’oeuvres • Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner (cash bar) • Sunday brunch
