Charming upstate NY village of Ellicottville claims spot on top 10 list of best main streets in the U.S.
Ellicottville, New York was recently named one of America’s best main streets.
Main streets serve as the beating heart of small American communities, and one Upstate New York village has claimed their spot among some of the best main streets in the country.
Ellicottville offers a quintessential small-town experience that has earned it a well-deserved spot on USA Today’s 10Best list for most charming main streets in the nation. Nestled between the foothills and valleys of the Allegheny Plateau, the Western New York village has made a name for itself among ski enthusiasts with its proximity to Holiday Valley Ski Resort, but its main street can be enjoyed year-round. Ellicottville, New York’s main street, filled with boutique shops and restaurants, was recently named one of the best main streets in America. Filled with boutique shops and restaurants, this main street located about 27 miles east of Jamestown, is also the center of many downtown festivals. See classic cars during their annual Rock N’ Roll weekend, sample local foods at the Taste of Ellicottville, or take in live music during the village’s Jazz and Blues weekend.
