The City Garage is a well-known staple of the Ellicottville community. It opened its doors in 1999 and is celebrating it’s 24 year in business. Located at 5 Monroe St. in Ellicottville, The City Garage is a full-service ski shop that offers sales, demos and service. It has been nationally recognized by SKI magazine for “Best Vibe Shop” at the national trade show in Denver, CO. and won the award 3 years in a row as voted by their industry peers and leaders.
They carry exclusive brands such as Stockli Skis, K2 and Salomon as well as Yeti, Birkenstock, FlyLow, Volkl and Dale of Norway.
Services include ski tuning by trained techs: grinding, sharpening and waxing using a winterstieger machine. Binding services: done by City Garage Techs, who receive annual training to stay current on binding and mounting technology. Also included are Alpine, Telemark, Cross Country mounts, adjustments and function checks, climbing skin cutting and installation, and miscellaneous repairs and adjustments. The City Garage also specializes in uphill touring equipment and is avid about Telemark skiing.
Their custom boot fitting offers footbeds and posting, stance evaluation, cuff alignment, heat fit with standard or thermo liners, shell stretching, boot heater installation.
Offering more than just apparel and gear for downhill skiing, there are plenty of options in stock for cross country skiing, telemark and snowshoeing as well. The City Garage is open year-round! They carry glamping gear as well as camping accessories, coolers, and summer clothing and footwear.
