The Flower Stand is located at 13187 Vaughn Street, two miles north of Springville on Route 240. Each year it opens around the Fourth of July and doesn’t close until the first frost of October.

the flower stand The Flower Stand’s beautiful, natural setting is where elegant occasions begin. The farm stand in front, which displays bouquets in vases, and is adorned with interesting decorative details and several beautiful chandeliers, frames the many rows of flowers in the four acres of gardens stretching out behind it. Thousands of blooms are available throughout the summer and autumn for bouquets, arrangements and visits for picking (by appointment). The flowers available now include gladiolas, dahlias, cosmos, marigolds, zinnias, wonderfully fragrant sweet peas, celosia, phlox, verbena, feverfew, ornamental grasses and much more, with many color variations. For example, gomphrenas are available in light and dark purple, yellow and white.

People seeking bouquets or centerpieces for special occasions such as weddings, graduation parties, bridal or baby showers, birthday parties, ceremonies and corporate events often turn to the Stand because of the variety and quality of its blooms. Recently its flowers have provided event organizers with flower bars for guests’ favors. Each player in the recent Ladies’ Golf Tournament at the Orchard Park Country Club was very happy to receive a bouquet from the Stand. A visit there to pick flowers is a delightful experience. Besides all the beauty, the fields at the Flower Stand feature a classic gazebo, a table with four cushioned chairs and an umbrella, several seats, and serene music playing throughout the rows. The atmosphere is relaxing and the gardens often serve as the romantic setting for proposals.    the flower stand

The Flower Stand is now celebrating its eleventh successful year, thanks to Ellen Krzemien, the owner, who completed the Master Garden Program at Cornell Co-Operative Extension. The wildflower field she created last year to celebrate its tenth anniversary has been joined by a new one featuring a variety of wildflowers of various colors and a pretty pattern of pathways, in which the table is nestled. The Stand’s vegetable choices now include red potatoes, green peppers, squash, cucumbers, zucchini and garlic, and no appointment is required to buy them.
