Pumpkinville’s 56th Year of Family Fun on the Farm Opens September 14th

Great Valley, NY – Pumpkinville, voted Buffalo’s Best Pumpkin Patch by the people of WNY, opens Saturday, September 14th and is open daily 9am-7pm through October 31st. Offering over 35 attractions, pumpkin picking, and food for kids and adults, guests can plan a memorable fall day at Pumpkinville, located minutes away from Ellicottville at 4844 Sugartown Road.

Pumpkinville attractions include the Pumpkinville Express Train, Pumpkin’ Jumpin’ Pillow, Corn Maze, Goat Mountain, Gem Mining, where bags of sand turn up gems inside, the Birds and Bees, where guests can hold baby chicks and see bees making honey, and a Hayride.

The Fun Zone contains the Happy Horse Carousel, Giant Slide, the Pumpkinville Feed Mill Obstacle Course, Paintball, Apple Blaster and Candy Cannon. The Pumpkinville Grill offers a variety of food options and is known for its donuts, cider slushies, and chicken BBQ on weekends.

New this season is the Corn Barn where kids can play and use their imagination with all kinds of digging toys to move mountains, dig ditches, and make a corn angel, and the Interactive Crank Tractor from the early 1900s where you can give the handle a crank and hear it roar to life. For pumpkin aficionados, acclaimed pumpkin carver, tv personality, and Guinness World Record holder, Eric Jones, will be in residence offering carving lessons and demonstrations. The Beer Garden features local craft beers from Ellicottville Brewing Co., local wine from Winery of Ellicottville, and includes two big-screen televisions for adults to relax and have fun too. Guests may always enter the front farm market, retail shop, and food areas any day for free.

      “Since 1968 Pumpkinville has been welcoming families to come take in the joys of New York’s beautiful fall season,” says Diane Pawlowski, co-owner of Pumpkinville with her husband Dan. “As a family-run farm, and the oldest pumpkin farm in New York State, we work hard to make sure all of our visitors can have fun and make memories that last a lifetime.”

    The activities are open every day, Monday through Sunday, and require a valid pass that can be purchased in advance online. There is never a cost to access the front farm market, food areas, and retail shop with gifts crafts, souvenirs, toys, etc. Pumpkinville is open through October 31, 9am-7pm, and closing October 31 at 5pm.
