The colorful fall foliage tells us that once again it’s time for Peek’n Peak to celebrate the fall season with its vibrant Fall Fest. In fact, this year’s fall festival marks the 35th annual fall fest. It will be held the weekends of October 14th and 15th and October 21st and 22nd. Come on out to Peek’n Peak, located at 1405 Old Rd. in Clymer, NY, for two weekends full of fall fun in the foothills of Western New York. It will be open from 10am-5pm each day. General admission and parking are free, with additional costs for some rides and attractions.
This fall fest over 100 arts and crafts vendors will be set up within the ski lodge, as well as outside on the surrounding grounds. You can stroll through aisles of vendors that will have a variety of items such as woodworking, paintings, pottery, photography, and other types of art. Other vendors may have wreaths, jewelry, and candles along with specialty candies and treats.
When you have worked up an appetite, there will be a wide variety of food vendors to choose from. Carnival treats like funnel cakes and kettle corn will please your palate. You will also find a wide selection of adult beverages to purchase in the beer tent nearby.
Each day there is a schedule of events that will be taking place, some of which run daily. To start off each day, DJ Felix will be spinning tunes starting at 10am, followed by magicians, a frisbee dog show, carriage rides, pony rides, and pumpkin cannons.
Along with these daily events, your children can have fun exploring the Kid’s Zone. The Kid’s Zone will be open all day during the four-day festival. There will be children’s favorites such as face painting and balloon animals, as well as a train ride, kids crafts, an extreme jump trampoline, and an inflatable obstacle course. Come and check out this year’s new exciting attraction called the Ballistic Swing Ride. It is like an amusement park type ride with colorful lighting and is similar to a flying swings ride. Look for the ticket booth to purchase tickets for rides.
Live music entertainment will perform each day, from 1pm-5pm, near at the main lodge deck. On Saturday the 14th, the Porcelain Bus Drivers will be kicking off the live music with their eclectic rock n’ roll. The next day, the Tiny Music Band will be performing. The following weekend, on Saturday the 21st, Midnight Recovery will be jamming with their classic rock and country music. To finish off the live music performances, Dark Water Duo will be rocking the “Peak” on Sunday. Come listen to some great music at this festival, and maybe even put on your dancing shoes.
On the afternoon of Sunday October 15th, there are two special events taking place. There will be a car show cruise-in, put on by Southern Tier Classic Chevy Club from 9am-3pm, near the beginner’s hill. They will have many cars on display. If you want to bring your own classic car to display, there is a $10 fee per car to join.
Also on October 15th, the Jungle Terry Animal Show will mesmerize onlookers from 2pm-4pm, near the Gazebo Grill. Jungle Terry will bring live animals in and give an informational presentation about the animals. After the presentation, there will be time to touch the animals, and you can have your pictures taken with them. This is sure to be a crowd pleaser for children and animal enthusiasts.
During this Fall Fest, you can still participate in Peek’n Peak’s thrilling Mountain Adventures. In fact, the weekends of the fall fest are the last weekends to experience attractions such as the Dual Giant Zipline, the Aerial Adventure Rope Course, and the Soaring Eagle. Tickets for these attractions can be purchased at the Sugar Shack.
