Doctor Tomasz Woloszyn has held his Family Practice Office in Olean for the past 4 years. He started the practice in August 2018 with the mission to provide personalized, high-quality preventative care, health maintenance and treatment for chronic diseases. “We know there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all cure, so provide compassionate, individualized care to each and every patient.” Tomasz is expanding his practice and is thrilled to add Michele Wooten as a Family Nurse Practitioner to his team of experienced medical professionals.

Michele Wooten just joined the practice this past October, and was previously with Foothills Oncology in Olean. She has over 11 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner and is enthusiastic to cross over into Family Practice and Internal Medicine. According to Michele, the change transition happened naturally. “I was ready for a change, to broaden my experience and realm of practice in the medical field. I listened to my patients, and I saw firsthand the need for more primary care practitioners in this area. I heard that Dr. Woloszyn’s practice had become so successful that he was seeking another practitioner. We spoke on the phone, and things just fell into place. I joined the practice just a few months later.”

It may sound cliché, but Michele has always known she wanted to work in the medical field. “I was drawn to the profession as a teen. I had the desire to help people, and I admired the nurses in my family.” Her special interest in endocrinology was sparked by a personal experience in her family. “I watched my uncle struggle with diabetes, and I learned alongside him on his journey. I watched him struggle to manage this chronic condition, and I want to help others, so they don’t struggle the way he did. It’s my hope to help other’s take proactive measures to prevent this disease; to notice the warning signs and adopt healthy lifestyles before it is too late.”

Michele is passionate about patient care and prides herself on individualized treatment. “I love meeting new patients and getting to know them. We want to get to know them and help them live their healthiest, best lives. They’re not just a number or a file, it’s more than what’s on paper. Everyone is different and has their own story. We want to get to know each person for who they are, and help them individually.”

As a Port Allegany native, she has pride in the community and is honored to work so close to her hometown. “Not only am I proud that we provide the very best care, but we take great pride in servicing this community. We want the community to be able to get the care they need right where they live, rather than traveling outside of the area to seek treatment.”

Michele is looking forward to helping Dr. Woloszyn grow the practice, and help as many people as possible. Last but not least, Michele and Tomasz would like to “wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season, and please visit us for a healthy new year!” Woloszyn is currently accepting new patients.
