If you’re still looking for some more outdoor fall fun before the cold weather sets in, there are a few more fall festivals taking place in Western New York. This weekend, in Erie County, the fourth Western New York Fall Festival will be taking place. This festival will be October 21st and 28th from 12-4pm, and October 30 from 7pm-9pm. This fall fest is located at 144 Lake St. in Angola, near the Everhaunt Haunted House. Families can enjoy the kid friendly events during the day. They cover up the frightening things in the haunted house and have the lights on, so younger children aren’t too frightened. Other activities for younger children include face painting, a pumpkin patch, costume contests, and a hunt for hidden treasure.

For older children through adults, there are some more spooky attractions. Entering the haunted house at night, you will see scary displays and “monsters’’ that will give you a Halloween thrill. There will be the Escape from Frankenstein VR ride as well as other spooky activities. Most attractions are for all ages, but the nighttime scary version of the haunted house is not recommended for children under the age of 12. If you want more information about prices and attractions, you can check out wnyfallfest.com or

 call 716-899-3327.

While there, they will solve a mystery, walk through fun houses, play Halloween games, do creepy crafts, and take a haunted train ride. Children are encouraged to dress up in costumes. Pizza and spooky snacks will be provided. You can find more information on both of these Safety Village events on their Facebook page or call 716-388-0170.

With so many fall festivals, it’s hard to choose which ones to go to. Before you know it, the snow will be falling and most of our activities will be indoors. Hopefully you’ll have had an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors at some of the fall family fun festivals during this fall season.
