Tracy DelValle’s painting, “Snowy Owl Protector” won First Prize at the 66th Annual Allentown Art Festival in 2023. It was awarded a blue ribbon by the Allentown Village Society of Buffalo, NY. Barbara Fox contributed “Chickadee Perch”. Her work has been published in five editions of the watercolor publication “Splash: the Best of Watercolor”. From 2007 to 2020, 23 of her designs were minted by the United States Mint as coins and medals. Charlotte Dudley contributed an intricate quilt, entitled “Round in Circles”.  Dan Bryce’s painting depicts rooftops in Chicago realistically except for a building in the background that appears wavy in order to evoke the heat in that area. Robin Frey’s wall arrangement of moss, ferns and fungi evokes a feeling of forest serenity. Several different paintings evoke the stark beauty of winter.

One of Stacey LeChevet’s two paintings depicts an interesting assortment of shells and starfish. Paulette Rozwood painted surging waves. One of Judy Wright’s two contributions is a pleasant portrait of musician Pete Seeger, which was autographed by him! I took my photo, “The Face of Nature”, at a stream with a stone barrier in front of it because of its beauty, and only noticed the face formed by shadows later when I looked over my images. I then brought out the colors of the water in the background until they looked like brushstrokes.
