Janice and Emily Glose
Penguin Paddle Auction Co-Chairpersons
The Penguin Paddle is a fundraiser designed to benefit the Lounsbury Adaptive Ski Program at Holiday Valley Resort. The Lounsbury Adaptive Ski Program is a chapter of Move United and teaches persons of various disabilities to become skiers. By concentrating on abilities, not disabilities, our students develop the attitude of “If I can do this, I can do anything!”
This year, the annual silent Penguin Paddle Auction will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 on site at Holiday Valley Yodeler Lodge.
The Penguin Paddle auction event relies completely on community donations to make the event successful. We are seeking your generosity in donations of goods or services to help make the 2025 silent auction a success. Donations in the past have included gift certificates, vouchers for services/goods, online vendors, gift baskets, anything ski related such as décor or gifts, vacation packages, etc… No donation is too large or small! The money raised from the Penguin Paddle finances specialized adaptive equipment for sit-down and stand-up skiers as well as training and certification to improve the skills of our pool of 100% volunteer ski instructors.
If you are able to donate, please email penguinpaddleauction@lounsburyadaptive.org or call or text Janice Hobba-Glose at 716-316-2175 and they will connect with you to pick up or arrange for you to deliver your donation no later than Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
They would also like to publicly recognize our donors at the event, in electronic/social media and in print. They intend to fly banners at the auction thanking you for your support in donations to make the event a success. If you would like to opt out of this public recognition, please email penguinpaddle@lounsburyadaptive.org indicating the same and we will not use your name/business in publicity.
They look forward to you being a part of our event and thank you in advance for your support. If you would like more information on the program, please contact our Directors, Sue Whistler or Bill Bredenburg at 716-699-3504.
