Hope to see you at Bob McCarthy’s Irish Christmas at EBC on Friday, December 9th at 6:00 PM. Held at Ellicottville Brewing Company’s new beer hall, the 16th annual tradition has proceeds going to the Bob McCarthy Foundation’s programs. A special brew of Bob McCarthy’s Celtic red and an EBC Stout will be served along with wine and beer. Again the “Taste of Ireland” features special dishes served up by local restaurants: Katy’s (Guinness Irish Stew), Madigan’s (Guinness Mack & Cheese), The Silver Fox (Bangers & Mash, Villaggio’s (Rueben Pasta) & Dina’s (Tom’s Irish Cream Bread Pud-ding), along with EBC’s special Irish Coffee. Believe it or not each of the food & bar items listed above can be had for a small donation of $5 each, with all proceeds helping the Bob McCarthy Foundation. If that was not enough, the event kicks off at 6:00 PM featuring an energetic live show from South Buffalo, Peter Zalocha and Charlie Coughlin of Crikwater. The short live auction starts at 7:30 PM, with auctioneer Brooks Lefeber. All auction items are accompanied by a home-made pie or baked item keeping with tradition. An exciting addition this year is an Irish basket raffle which will be held in the mezzanine area of the hall. Running from 6:00 – 8:00 PM you can buy 20 Tickets for $10 with over 30 fantastic baskets there will be many lucky winners going home with great gifts. You can get a sneak peek at the Foundation’s website at www.bobmccarthyfoundation.com/events or bobmccarthyfoundation.com/events. Admission is FREE. Be there it will be FUN!
