Ellicottville NY
Holiday Valley’s President and General Manager, Dennis Eshbaugh, has built a career for himself that would be the envy of many people. During his time at Holiday Valley he’s seen the Village of Ellicottville evolve from a quiet, little manufacturing and logging town to a four-season destination that attracts people from all over the east coast.
Dennis fell in love with skiing at a young age and after spending time as the Snowsports Director at Holiday Valley, Dennis became the General Manager of the resort in 1989 and then was appointed to President and General Manager in 1995. He’s overseen countless renovation and upgrade projects to the resort over the years, something that has helped Holiday Valley consistently rank in the Top 10 of the SKI Magazine Reader Resort Survey.
Recently, Dennis sat down with Stuart Winchester of The Storm Skiing Journal and Podcast and discussed a wide range of topics; from the history of skiing in Ellicottville, to his philosophy on running a ski resort, to the numerous ways the ski industry has impacted his life.
