Are you signed up yet? Are you ready for fun in the mud? Yes, you will get muddy; yes, there is running; yes, there are fifteen obstacles, but note, there is NO fire, barbed wire, or electric shocks. This is an event for the entire family. The 3.5-mile course features obstacles running along the ridgeline and then down. The 5.4-mile course includes obstacles with quite a bit more uphill running in case you are feeling extra tough! Enjoy a chairlift ride to the top of the hill at Spruce Lake to get to the start line. There will be a continual start, show up for your wave period, ride the lift, and start your run as you exit the lift (okay, you can stretch a bit first). At the finish line, you will receive your medal, grab your goodie bag and snacks and make your way to get cleaned up. Make sure to bring a towel and change of clothes for after the race. There will “refreshing” hoses to get cleaned off from the obstacles. Lunch is provided for all competitors following the race! Costumes are strongly encouraged. Get the group together and come up with a theme or come as one! Be sure to check in with the costume judges prior to the race for a chance to win prizes! Be sure to check out Holiday Valley’s website for registration information and lodging prices. Also, be sure to watch the Mudslide videos for some sneak peaks at the obstacles and for a good laugh! This is an event you don’t want to miss!
