Jeannine “J-9” Gicewicz, LMT, is proud to announce her acquisition of 22 Washington Street, formerly She Shed, He Shed. She will soon be opening an exciting new shop in this space: Good Vibes Wellness and Gift Emporium, featuring The Wellness Cabana. She will be helping and educating customers about her line of Tiki~Tiki CBD lotions, tinctures and other products, both Full Spectrum and 0% THC options along with unique merchandise from local vendors. The space will also offer same day treatment for services including myofascial decompression/medical grade cupping, massage and trigger point therapy.
J-9 managed Chiba Chiba CBD & Gift Shop in the Village for 2 ½ years and has nearly two decades of experience as a licensed massage therapist, specializing in post trauma and postoperative patients. This shop is her first solo endeavor involving retail, but she’s ready for the challenge. “It’s been a lot of work so far, but it’s going to be worth it,” says Jeannine.
Through her experience, J-9 helped countless customers with sleep issues, acute and chronic pain, help control autoimmune syndromes and so much more through one-on-one interactions using her extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, upper and lower myology, pathology and different massage modalities combined with extensive knowledge of CBD and it’s mechanism of action. She has experience teaching at pharmacies, introducing the ‘How, Why and When’ of CBD products.
She discovered CBD when she was experiencing profound grief and depression following the loss of her father. “It absolutely saved my life,” recalls Jeannine. “CBD helped me during the worst time in my life. I discovered how truly powerful it can be and I want to share that with others. It changed my life, now I want to help better yours.”
Jeannine sought to pursue her love of helping people combining massage therapy and CBD. So she started her own line of CBD and recognized Ellicottville as a prime location for her shop. Her CBD brand is called Tiki Tiki, reflecting her love for the beach. “I want people to feel like they feel when they are on vacation when they enter my shop: the smells, the sounds and that feeling of leaving your troubles behind.” Hence the name Good Vibez. “I love the skiers, snowboarders and I embrace the winter, but I’m a beach girl at heart. I want people to have a place to come shop local unique merchandise and have the opportunity to get a massage treatment and have a truly fun experience in a unique laidback atmosphere. I want people to come in to the shop and be wowed, telling all their friends how awesome it was.”
Along with CBD and massage treatments, Jeannine will carry a selection of her Ski & Beach Bum comfy apparel and accessories with custom graphic designs. The shop will also carry Alpine Attic vintage Ellicottville posters and prints, one-of-a-kind snowshoe & ski wine racks, authentic rustic & Buffalo Bills themed Shot-Skis, made from actual skis, along with other exclusive vendor surprises.
Good Vibez will also feature a Medi-Spa area “The Wellness Cabana “, providing same day, walk-in treatments. Chair and table massage therapy, cupping, and other therapeutic services. “I’m opening a wellness shop to help people feel better now. I realize most of the Ellicottville customers are from out of town: Cleveland, Pennsylvania, Canada and surrounding areas. I want them to have a place that caters to their immediate needs.” Jeannine is also looking to collaborate with providers for vitamin infusions and Botox.
While Jeannine doesn’t have an official opening date for the shop (hopefully late June), she plans to participate in upcoming events much as possible. “I want to be a part of everything,” laughs Jeannine. “While my doors aren’t officially open, I’ve already had people come in and ask about the store and make tentative cupping appointments. I’m so excited and I’m looking forward to meeting so many new people. If you see me, come on in and say hello!”
