John Cimperman of 42 North Oupost and Dennis Baldwin of Bike and Bean are thrilled to announce the grand opening of Bikes, Burritos and Brews as 42 North joins Bike and Bean this Saturday June 18th in their new location at 11 Martha Street. The Grand Opening Party will celebrate the merging of craft beer, burritos and bikes at one location. Join the festivities from 2-6pm with live music from SON, beer sampling and a delicious sampler platter of burritos. They’re offering bike rides from 10-12 and bike tune ups. Stop down and see what all the hype is about!
Dennis describes Bikes Burritos and Brews as the evolution of what started as the Ellicottville Bike Shop back in 2007. He started working in the local bike shop in 1996 always having a love for riding and fixing bicycles. Burritos were added in 2013 with the idea of “bringing good tasting, high quality food in a fun package. I have never meant a cyclist that doesn’t like burritos (and beer for that matter, but the beer side came a bit later.) We value quality and try to utilize local farms, GMO and organic products when possible. We offer a full service bike shop with a cafe serving high quality, delicious burritos (and other food) and of course we now have tasty craft beer available for in house or to go. Ellicottville is a fun community with a great outdoor scene. I feel very fortunate to be able to pedal out of the village and be on some of the best singletrack there is in just a mile or two. We enjoy coming to work, doing what we love and knowing we’re putting out a great product.
Enter John Cimperman bringing Craft brews to the table as the owner of 42 North, with their flagship location in East Aurora. “It was only natural for us to merge together and join forces on this venture. We share the same passion for outdoor adventure and many of the same customers.” John has seen this hybrid approach of craft beer and outdoor adventure in Park City, Utah and Bend, Oregon with great success. “Ellicottville is the perfect location for this type of place. It complements the vibe of Ellicottville. It’s really not any competition for the area because we offer such a unique scene.” John describes the Outpost as “simple, not complicated. It is authentic, organic, and casual. The perfect place for adventure lovers to gather après ski or après bike to enjoy a beer, a burrito and share stories of the trails.” 42 North will have 4 beers on tap, as well as 4 packs and 6 packs to go. The opening of the Outpost is just in time for cycling season, and enthusiasts are eager to explore the new mountain biking trails in the area. Bike and Bean will continue to serve up its burritos, which is a great compliment to the 42 North beer.
In ending Dennis notes, “with over 25 years of experience fixing bicycles you can trust us with all of your bicycle needs. As for the burritos and craft beer… you’ll just have to come in and try for yourself. We will have you hooked!”
