Summer is in full swing and there’s no better way to celebrate than on the lake. Bemus Bay Water Toys is where adventures on Chautauqua Lake begin. With a variety of boat and water activity rentals available, there’s something for everyone to help make the most of summer.
Family owned and operated, Bemus Bay Water Toys is headed into its 3rd season at their Lakeside Drive location. “We’re looking forward to another great season,” says Laurie. “We wait all year for this summer weather; nothing beats lakeside living and exploring Chautauqua Lake by boat.”
Bemus Bay Water Toys (BBWT) has a wide variety of boat rental options and they’ve expanded their fleet again this season. “We’ve added 2 pontoon boats for a total of 8 available for rental,” says Laurie. Following a tutorial, boaters and their passengers are ready to go for 2, 4, or 8 hours of exploring on Chautauqua Lake. “A boating license is not required until 2025, so once renters are comfortable, they are free to explore!” BBWT also offers captain service for those not interested in driving their own boat. This is a popular option for many events including Bachelorette/Bachelor parties, birthdays, and more. No minimum number of passengers is required, with a maximum of 10. Laurie and her crew also offer sunset cruises throughout the summer months and Laurie and her husband Kevin offer chartered fishing trips. Call ahead to book.
Looking for another fun way to explore the water? Try the Craig Cat, also known as the ‘go-kart on water.’ Their 2 passenger Craig Cats offer a fun way to explore the lake, reaching 25-30 MPH on a glassy day. Single and tandem kayaks and hydro-bikes offer quieter adventures closer to shore, and the Lily Pad Mats are a fun option for anyone looking to relax and cool off in/on the water. Lily Pads can be rented on site, or brought off-side to personal docks/boats etc.
No matter what you’re looking for, Bemus Bay Water Toys has something to offer anyone for an adventure on Chautauqua Lake. Conveniently located in the heart of Bemus Point between The Fish and Lawson Boat Museum at 64 Lakeside drive, Laurie and her crew are ready to help to make the most of summer on the lake. Now offering fuel for even more convenience.
“The weather is perfect for boating, so come on out and visit us! We’re ready to show you both beauty and adventure on Chautauqua Lake. There’s nothing better than a day on the lake! The sunsets are incredible too.”
