Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ace Frehley, founding member of the band KISS, will be playing a concert at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts in Jamestown on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 7pm. The original guitarist for KISS, Frehley will play songs from the band’s catalogue, as well as his solo classics. The Jamestown band, Hot at Bats will open the show. Ted Shredd from Buffalo’s 97 Rock will host the show.

Tickets go on-sale, Friday, February 10 at 12 noon at RegLenna.com.

Western New York events producer SitlerHQ is organizing the event. They recently produced the sold-out 10,000 Maniacs 40thanniversary concert at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts this past May. They are also the group behind NIGHT LIGHTS and other experiential events.

“I’m still flabbergasted to know that Ace Frehley is coming to rock Jamestown,” said Doug Sitler of SitlerHQ. “He is a beloved, legendary guitarist, who is a founding member of one of the world’s biggest rock bands. This show is going to be very special.”

Ace Frehley is the original lead guitarist of the legendary rock band KISS, which he co-founded in 1973. During his first tenure with KISS, the band soared to unimaginable heights. They were truly the biggest band in the world. Their hard rock anthems and explosive live shows made them beloved by millions of music fans. After leaving KISS in 1982, Frehley created his own solo band Frehley’s Comet. Frehley rejoined KISS in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour. He exited the band in 2002, but continued to release several solo albums. KISS was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Frehley continues to create new music and tour extensively with his band.

“We expect three generations of music fans to attend this concert,” added Sitler. “Ace Frehley has been creating amazing rock music for decades, he still proudly waves the rock and roll flag.”

Sitler said that a great part of hosting these events, is that they bring people to discover downtown Jamestown. He notes that people will come to town early and visit the National Comedy Center or patronize the local pubs, restaurants and hotels.

Sitler said, “We can’t thank enough the City of Jamestown for helping make these events, not only happen, but affordable to concert goers. Funds from New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative, Jamestown Local Development Corporation, and Fund for Downtown Programming are what makes these events a reality.”
