This coming weekend, A Stir of Artists Fine Arts and Crafts Show will enter Bemus Point Park, selling art, jewelry, and other craft objects from around the New York and Pennsylvania regions. The show will be open from 11am-5pm on both Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th.

Stir of Artists in Bemus Point NYClaire Hansen, organizer of the show, promises an “awesome mix [of crafts] from wood to leather, jewelry and macramé. […] There is Tony Kelly who does some of the best Nature paintings I have seen and Kim Kloecker who does beautiful watercolor, pen and ink paintings. There is also Patrick DelMonte that has wood bowls that will blow your mind. Finally, Deb Florian who makes flower bud vases the stick to your window that are so elegant, dainty and beautiful.”  Many regional artists are returning to the show, but repeat customers will also see some new faces.

With the exception of the summer of 2020, when public health measures restricted large gatherings in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, A Stir of Artists has existed in one form or another for the past fifteen years. Initially begun as “Art in the Park”, the show changed locations and name before taking on its current form.

Hansen encourages artists interested in joining the show to email her at asoabp@gmail.com. The event can also be found on Facebook. In addition to this coming weekend, A Stir of Artists will also appear the weekend of August 17th.
