Who’s ready for a chill weekend event in Irving, NY? If you visit 12744 Rt. 438 on September 10th from 11-8pm, you can grab a ticket and enjoy the 2nd Annual “Canna Bash” Festival and have a chance to see the 1st Annual Cannabis Cup event. The Villager had the opportunity to speak with the owner of Underground Geneticz, Bryan Gonzales who will be hosting the event about what this year’s festival had to offer for visitors.
The Villager (V): How did you come up with the idea for Cannibis Bash?
Bryan (B): “The idea came about as a way for Underground Geneticz to showcase our best flowers in a festival style atmosphere.”
V: What’s new for 2022’s event?
B: “What’s great about this year’s event is that we will also be having our trophy presentation for our 1st Annual Cattaraugus Cannabis Cup featuring some of the best grow teams in our region. There will be 12 teams with 24 strain entries. We will have placing in the top 3 for each Indica, Sativa and Hybrid divisions.”
V: Is there an admission cost? If yes, where can tickets be purchased?
B: “Yes, tickets are available at our retail location: Underground Geneticz 12744 Rt 438 Irving, NY. 14081. Pre-sale tickets are $10/$15 at the door day of event. This is a 21 and older event, no one under that age is permitted.”
V: How many dispensaries will be represented at the event and what will they all be offering?
B: “This year we have 60+ vendors from our area. Such as EVL Cannabis Club, A Light in the Attic, Sticky Fingers 716, Galaxy Glass and so many more… And products range from pre-rolls to an awesome line of edibles.”
V: Will there by live entertainment?
B: “A DJ will be spinning on the ones & twos all day. I personally will be the MC that day!”
V: What kind of food and beverages will be on offer?
B: “We have 3 fantastic food vendors this year. Skoden Eats offering traditional style native foods; Tilted Taco offering street tacos/cantina style; and Villaggio offering authentic Italian cuisine street style.”
