HoliMont is excited to announce their first annual Saddle Pond Party and Trade Show July 23-24 at their newly renovated area atop the slopes. There will be a variety of family fun activities including mountain biking, mechanical bull, kids biking camp, vendors, kayak and paddleboard demos, chair lift rides, disc golf, live entertainment, beer and wine tastings and more. The event is open to everyone and all the activities are free, with the exception of the chairlift rides, which will be $25 for the whole day. There will have many fun activities at the top of the hill and at the bottom, for those who do not want to ride the chair.
Jennah Bradley is the marketing director at HoliMont, and is thrilled to be a part of the planning process. “We hope to make this event bigger and better for years to come. Now that we plan to expand our bike park, we really wanted to bring awareness to the outdoor sports and recreation community. We wanted to help support local businesses who share the same love and interest in what we offer. We realized that there are no trade shows in our area that are geared towards outdoor sports and recreation, so we hope that this event can bring more interest to the Ellicottville area. The Saddle Pond event gives families a fun outdoor festival to look forward to every year, while also helping local businesses promote their products and services.”
As mentioned, HoliMont plans to have mountain biking, a vendor market from local shops, rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, mountain bike demos by loud performance and KONA, kayak and paddleboard demos, chair lift rides, disc golf, kids biking camp (where they learn new biking skills and spend the day with an instructor on the trails, pre-registration required) beer and wine tastings from local breweries, food vendors and live entertainment.
“We just gave our saddle pond a makeover and it really is a beautiful spot to hang out at now! We will be offering kayak and paddle board rentals for the remainder of the summer, (free demos at the event) and we expanded our beach area, put in a swimming dock, and a picnic area. We are using this event to highlight our saddle pond, letting people know we have other things to offer than just mountain biking. What better way than to have a Saddle Pond Party!”
