Born and raised in Western New York, Eddy created and plays in various bands including WNY Best in Buffalo Band: Nerds Gone Wild, Award Winning Classic Rock party band: Route 66, and the areas first Yacht Rock tribute: The Yachtfathers. He is excited to announce the recent launch of his new project: The Funkensteins. This 6-piece band offers a complete old school dance show experience, playing crowd favorites from the 70’s, 2000’s, R&B and Top 40 hits. “I saw the opportunity for a band like this in the area,” explains Eddy. “The Funknsteins get the crowd singing and dancing, perfect for any party, wedding, nightclub or corporate event.”
His 36 years of experience in the beer industry furthered his expertise in customer service and helped him make connections with venues and coordinate music bookings in the area. “It was a natural progression,” explains Eddy. “Bands would reach out to me to ask for venue recommendations, and venues would reach out to me looking for bands. I’ve built strong relationships in this industry, and I’m fortunate to be able to help serve the community in this way.”
He officially launched Eddy T Entertainment LLC in 2018 offering a customized, personalized booking service for music needs for weddings, nightclubs and special events. Eddy offers 1:1 consultation to help people find what best meets their needs. “I enjoy talking with my clients to find out what type of entertainment they’re looking for. I’m very in-tune to the industry and can find whatever best creates the vibe we’re looking for. I’m your guy if you want 80’s, 90’s, country, pop … you name it, I can find it.”
Eddy aims to make each event a success, booking numerous bands across seven counties including the Buffalo, Ellicottville and Chautauqua region, serving Western New York and beyond. He is working with the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce to bring popular bands to the area for festival weekends and hopes to help Barb Pump coordinate music in the near future. “I just love Ellicottville,” says Eddy. “Everyone is out to have a good time. It’s a laid-back family-friendly vibe and I love booking bands for the area. Everyone loves playing here.”
Eddy enjoys serving the community in this way: delivering premier entertainment. “It’s my passion,” explains Eddy. “Music is such an important part of any event. It’s important to me to help local musicians, and help clients find the best band to meet their needs.”
Nerds Gone Mild (a trio version of Nerds Gone Wild) will be playing at Balloons in Ellicottville on February 16, with a handful of shows coming to Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.
