The hotel recently underwent a large renovation, refreshing room décor and upgrading the hotel amenities. The property capitalizes on their prime location atop the hills of Fairport, providing expansive views and a glimpse of the Rochester city skyline. Horizons Restaurant + Wine Bar offers optimal views of this scenery, as do most guest rooms, pool, firepit and gardens.
While the hotel is historically an ideal location for weddings and events, the Woodcliff offers everything needed for a family-fun getaway. With their indoor-outdoor pool, ping-pong, golf course, smores kits and miles of hiking trails, families will find something for all ages and interests.
After settling into our room and enjoying a glass of wine (juice and snacks for the kids), our family set out on the 9-hole golf course. The hotel offers complimentary clubs to all guests, and carts are available. Meticulously maintained and designed for pros and beginners alike, the Links at Woodcliff has been a favorite of golfers for over 30 years. This par 35 course offers 2,536 yards on a slope of 108 with sweeping views of Bristol hills. We ventured off property to enjoy dinner at one of the many local restaurants nearby, and strolled the city streets along the water before heading back to the hotel for a night swim and smores by the firepit.
The next morning, we both started the day with an invigorating workout: mine inside at the expansive fitness center, his on the trails connecting to nature. The Spa at Woodcliff recently underwent an extensive renovation this past year, just reopening last August, and has been featured in American Spa magazine (March/April 2024). The spa features an expansive 3,200-squate-foot two-level relaxation room, complete with two semi-private balconies allowing guests to relax and take in their surroundings before and after their treatments. Their menu provides distinctive experiences to their guests including massage, facials, manicures, pedicures and more.
