The Reserve Farm-Shop in Great Valley, NY, is an organic grocery store and café and will be hosting several entertaining events on Sundays over the course of the summer and into early Fall, collectively called the “Summer Nights Festival”. On July 28th, August 25th, September 29th and October 27th, from 4-7pm, the afternoon/evenings will offer tasty, healthy food and drink, live music, and festive fun. There will be kid-friendly activities, various vendors and food trucks on hand. Most intriguingly, there will be a yoga class given by Yogi Josh. He is described on their website as a certified yoga instructor who has completed 200 hours of study, earned his certification in the Himalayan mountains of India, and has had ten years of experience. Most significantly, it mentions, in his classes, he always aims to provide a light, uplifting experience that leaves participants feeling refreshed. His classes run from 4-5pm and cost $10.
Happily, their website says the Summer Night Festival will offer “memorable nights of summer magic” and “captivating entertainment in a charming outdoor setting” but few further details are available at this time. The shop always offers organic, pasture-raised, grass-fed/grass-finished and locally grown products, some handmade and some slow-made. Interestingly, there is a separate greenhouse on its two acres of land. It works closely with local dairy farmers to get wonderful artisanal cheeses, including brie, cheddar and bleu, and offers handcrafted chocolates and confections, including rich dark chocolate truffles and caramels. It just began offering Nitro Lemonade, which is joining its popular menu item, Nitro Cold Brew Coffee. Other items on the menu include smoothies (including Strawberry Glaze and Cacao Peanut Butter), Dragon Girl Tea (a locally crafted organic tea) and Big Norwegian Kombucha (with weekly flavor rotation). The Bagels and Toast category temptingly offers Sprouted Organic Wheat and Sprouted Organic Everything, as well as Honey Peanut Butter Toast. The handcrafted Pizzas include both traditional cheese pizzas, as well as modern White Garlic and Kale. Another popular modern offering: Oat Milk Lattes. The Reserve-Farm Shop is located at 4795 US 219 in Great Valley, NY. It is closed Mondays, but on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, it is open from 9am-6pm, and on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, it is open from 9am-3pm.
