Sunset Bay Beach Club in Irving will be hosting its 40th anniversary and other amazing events this summer. The current owners are Kelly Borrello and her husband NY State Senator George Borrello. They have owned Sunset Bay Beach Club along with Cabana Sam’s and Sunset Bay Deli for the past seven seasons. The beach access area consists of five acres of groomed beach that is open for the 2024 summer season, and it has lifeguard stations and sand volleyball courts. It provides plenty of room to host some great events this summer, but first let’s talk about the Borrello’s great beach venues.
Cabana Sam’s is a full-service waterfront restaurant. It has two full-service bars, where you can find happy hours and drink specials each day. They have a large, delicious, and diverse menu ranging from appetizers, as well as soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. They have some specials including their seafood specials on Mondays featuring all you can eat crab legs and other seafood entries. On Saturdays, there is a 2-for-1 prime rib dinner special. This summer, Cabana Sam’s will have live music on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. It’s a great place to relax, unwind, and listen to some great music while dining on the patio overlooking the shores of Lake Erie.
If you aren’t looking for a sit-down dinner and want to grab something on the go, head on over to the Sunset Bay Deli. The deli is now on the side of Sunset Bay Beach Club with a separate outside and offers some things you may need for your day at the beach.
Just steps away is Sunset Bay Beach Club, that is one of the few Western New York waterfront bar/nightclubs. It includes a large outdoor bar and patio as well as an indoor bar and dance floor. Each week, Friday and Saturday nights feature live bands and/or DJ dance parties. You can watch the sunset while sipping on your favorite beverage and dance on the patio under the stars. This is also where the beach concerts happen, and the parties really get lit!
Along with weekly entertainment, they also have a summer packed with concerts and fun events. On June 21, it will be Sunset Bay Beach Club’s 40th Anniversary Party with 97 Rock. The party starts at 7pm, and there will be a DJ playing the tunes. There will be some drink specials that are priced as they were back in1984, as well as some prize giveaways. Come celebrate their 40th anniversary with them.
Then on Saturday June 22, Sunset Bay Beach Club will be rocking the shores of Lake Erie with their Rock Fest, which is an all-day event starting at 1pm. Join them for an exciting day with tribute bands playing music from some favorite classic rock bands. The Rock Fest will feature Aero Force Tribute to Aerosmith, Motley Krue Tribute to Motley Crue, Hellz Bellz Tribute to AC/DC, Metal Militia Tribute to Metallica, Powerslave Tribute to Iron Maiden, and The Songs Remains Tribute to Led Zeppelin. Be ready to rock out all day and dance the night away. This is an event like no other that you don’t want to miss.
The following week, get out your cowboy hat and boots. Join Sunset Bay Beach Club for a foot stomping good ole time as they host a Country Jamboree June 29th. This is another all-day event on the beach, starting at 1pm. It includes some of the best country music tribute bands, featuring country legend tributes to Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Toby Keith. Local Bands Christian Kramer & Backwoods Revival, Kevin Mikula, Wasted Whiskey, and Dark Horse Run will head the line up. So, lasso up your family and friends, and be ready to move to the beat as y’all don’t want to miss this good ole time. Yeehaw!!
If that wasn’t enough for you, Sunset Bay Beach Club will entertain you with the BonJourney: A Tribute Show on Friday June 28th. It will start at 7pm with local opener The All-Star Project. Get ready to rock it out on the beach to tunes from Bon Jovi and Journey at this amazing tribute show. It will bring you back in time listening to songs from these legendary bands.
