There is a wonderful new organic farm shop and cafe, in Great Valley called The Reserve. It had its soft opening last Sunday and the parking lot was full the entire time! It will be open for business Tuesdays through Fridays between 9am-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays between 9am-3pm. Besides supporting local makers, it offers some of the best products the region has to offer, all in one convenient place. It is located on two acres of land, along with its greenhouse.
If you have been searching for top quality vegetables, meat and milk, look no further. The Reserve prides itself on the quality of each item it sells, and it conveniently offers everyone’s favorite grocery items. The farm shop’s offerings include an assortment of local produce, grass-fed and grass-finished meats, handcrafted chocolates and confections (including dark chocolate truffles and caramels) and genuine cream top milk. If you’ve ever bought milk expecting it to have a real cream flavor, and been disappointed, you will find the taste you were hoping for here. The cheeses include brie, cheddar and blue cheese, which pair perfectly with the homemade bread always on hand, which is made with locally milled flour and baked fresh daily.
The Reserve is basically a mini grocery store featuring truly fresh and deliciously healthy foods, the kind you don’t find every day. Those who love the latest types of trendy and healthy drinks will find them all in the cafe. The selections there include nitro cold brews, nitro oat milk lattes, nitro tea, and handcrafted kombucha. There is also espresso and there are innovative smoothies, and signature coffee blends, plus lion’s mane coffee. There is Dragon Girl tea (locally crafted organic tea) and Big Norwegian Kombucha, with weekly flavor rotation. The smoothies include Strawberry Glaze and Serene Green.
The variety of reasonably priced potted plants grown in the greenhouse include various kinds of flowers, including peonies, orange and yellow lilies, and lady’s slippers, and there are many choices of hanging planters, each one priced at only $28. Remember, now is the time to buy Mom that special Mother’s Day gift. A plant, or perhaps one of the other products, which include sauces and skin lotions. The Beauty Organix line of skin lotions is a clean, healthy choice for pampering your skin. It includes a creamy cleanser for dry or sensitive skin, and the super greens cleanser for all skin types, and at the shop you can use sample testers and consult the skin charts. The slogan of the line says it all: “Where beauty and nature unite”.
In addition to offering groceries and flowers, The Reserve will be hosting events throughout the year that will be community-focused. There will be family nights when movies will be projected on the back of the building, and dozens of yard games. Last but not least, every Sunday there will be a Farmers Market for local farmers.
