CHQ. Chamber Spotlight: Sweet Repeats Boutique
Much More than a Consignment Store

Spread the love

BY DARLENE BRACE

This week’s Chamber Spotlight is Sweet Repeats Boutique. Sweet Repeats Boutique is owned by Amber Silverburg. Amber opened Sweet Repeats Boutique thirteen years ago. At that time, it was primarily a secondhand children’s consignment store. She carried high end quality name brand items. Amber stated that it was very successful for a long time, but in the last few years sales had decreased in the secondhand side of things. Instead of closing her doors, she decided to shift focus and become a children’s gift boutique.

She decided to keep a consignment section, but now also has a large inventory of brand-new items to offer her customers. The 1500 sq. ft store is now filled with adorable boutique clothing, wooden educational toys, and great gift items. She has a selection of Melissa and Doug toys, Bills items, and great gifts for baby showers and more.

For adults there is a selection of custom-made T-shirts and sweatshirts. Grab your Pickle sweatshirts, Mama crewnecks, and Mimi tumblers! They also carry adult’s and children’s Buffalo Bills items such as clothing, games, and gifts perfect for any Bills fan!

Sweet Repeats Boutique is located at 1749 Foote Avenue in Jamestown. It’s open Monday-Wednesday- 10am-5pm, Thursday & Friday 10am-6pm, and Saturday from 11am-4pm. It is closed on Sundays.

Amber said, “I love finding quality items that are unique and give customers great options for something different when looking for that special gift. Check out our selection for baby shower gifts and I just got in the cutest knit hats. There are also gifts for Mom, Mimi, teachers, and birthdays. Our toddler Chicken Nugs & Mama Hugs t-shirts are a hot pick right now.”

Her boutique also carries seasonal items throughout the year. Amber continued, “It’s a great place to grab your snow gloves and pom pom hats for the family. I always wanted a store like this, that’s a warm and welcoming place to shop, and I am happy to offer this to my community. I am very excited for our remodeled store and to welcome new customers as well as familiar faces.”

When asked why she started this business, she said that she had wanted a children’s store in the area that would offer unique, quality items that were well organized. She feels her store enables others in the community to buy quality items that are affordable and stop in for a chat, which is nice because it offers a sense of community. She enjoys talking and socializing with other parents, grandparents, and the children who are with them.

Another reason she opened her own business is that it gave her the flexibility to balance family and work life. She was more available to her own children compared to if she was working elsewhere. When she first opened the business, her youngest daughter was not in school yet, and she could spend the day with her at the store. Her daughter basically grew up in her store and Amber has watched other families grow through the years. Now some are coming back in with their own children.

Amber also said, “My store is very comfortable for my customers. They can take their time to browse and be social, or they can come in for a quick gift idea when in a hurry. Either way, I like to make sure my customers are happy with their purchases and with their experience when shopping here.”

Another way Amber helps her customers is by offering a rewards program. After signing up for the rewards program, for every dollar you spend, you get a point. After two hundred points you get a $10 off coupon. The points never expire, but once you get the coupon, it’s only good for sixty days.

Amber wants people to know that you can order items online. All the brand-new items are available on the website, where you can browse and add to your cart. Upon checkout, you can select pick up or have items shipped to you.
