The fall season is in full swing, and often the weather is still nice enough to enjoy being outdoors. If you live in or near southern Chautauqua County, and are looking for some fall family fun, head on out to Pumpkintown. Pumpkintown is about a one mile west of Jamestown, New York, and is located on acres of countryside at 3435 Baker Street. Pumpkintown is co-owned by the Minor and Genberg families. When asked what the inspiration was in starting Pumpkintown, Sarah Minor said, “We felt like there wasn’t enough to do for kids in the fall season, and since fall is our favorite season, we decided to start Pumpkintown.” They opened Pumpkintown in 2018, as a fall family fun area with plenty of attractions for the entire family.

This year Pumpkintown is open on all Saturdays and Sundays beginning September 16 and ending October 29, from 10am- 6pm, weather permitting. The general admission is $14 per person, and children ages two and under are free. If you 65 years old or older, admission is $10, and for active military or veterans, it’s $7. This general admission will get you entry to enjoy most of the activities in Pumpkintown. Some of the activities included in admission would be face painting, a petting zoo, hayrides, a giant slide, corn hole, jumbo connect four and a corn maze. Other activities included are a pumpkin jump pad, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin checkers, a spook shack, and a cow train. For a small additional cost, there are pony rides, apple cannons, gem mining, and paintball. You will also find plenty of photo opportunities for you and your family at this picturesque location.
