Fresh Press Studios, at 100 North Main Street in downtown Jamestown, is a small operation with a big advantage over similar online stores: when customers call, they can talk to a human being, rather than dealing with an online form. The full-service silk screen printing, embroidery and design shop, in business since 2014 on the corner of Main and First Street in the old Field and Wright Building, is run by owners Gary Peters Jr. and Theresa Jackson, who are dedicated to providing the best products at great prices.
“We wanted there to be more cool stuff in the world”, said Peters. “Even though many of the local factories and businesses have closed up or moved on, Fresh Press carries on the tradition of Jamestown creativity. Many of our most popular designs feature logos from the bygone businesses, such as Evan’s Skateland, Quality Markets and The Surf Club, and we’re always making more!”
“Fresh Press sells a ton of retro Jamestown shirts to folks around the country who have moved away from the area and crave a little bit of hometown nostalgia”, he continued. The embroidery services include anything wearable. Fresh Press specializes in getting any business or sports logo on whatever customers need, and do all of their digitizing in-house. Embroidery clients include TitanX, Ahlstrom Schaeffer, and Jamestown Community College.
Fresh Press has been doing great work since 2014. They’ve proudly provided embroidery and screen printed items for The Great Blue Heron Music Festival and the band 10,000 Maniacs.
