Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House has named longtime team member Jessica Splawski as its new General Manager, recognizing a leader whose energy, care, and commitment have helped shape both the guest experience and the culture of the business in Bemus Point.

Jessica “Jess” Splawski with her husband Mitchell and their dogs Bailey & Cletus.

In her new role, Splawski oversees day-to-day operations across the restaurant, kitchen, events, and golf course, working closely with owners Bryce and Rachael Steffen to ensure a consistent, welcoming experience for guests and staff alike at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House.

Splawski has been part of the team at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House since its earliest days, joining before the restaurant opened in 2018. Over the years, she has taken on increasing responsibility, moving from bartending into front-of-house leadership and event management. As the business grew in size and complexity, the need for a unified leadership role became clear, and Splawski was a natural fit.

“I’m flattered and honored to have been selected for this position,” said Splawski. “I’m looking forward to working alongside our amazing team, continuing to grow the Tap House, and serving the Bemus Point community.”

While she grew up in a neighboring town, Splawski now considers Bemus Point home. She has worked in hospitality since her early teens, developing a deep appreciation for service, teamwork, and the behind-the-scenes effort that makes a great guest experience possible. At the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, she has become known for her hands-on leadership style, steady presence, and genuine enthusiasm. Whether supporting her team through a busy service or greeting guests with a smile, Splawski leads with encouragement, energy, and a clear commitment to high standards.

Splawski is deeply passionate about the guest experience, from creating seasonal craft cocktails to ensuring food and service quality remain consistent. Known for her positive attitude and tireless work ethic, she is often moving throughout the space, checking in with guests and staff alike to make sure everyone feels welcome and supported.

Just as important to Splawski is the team itself, which she views as the heart and soul of the business. She is known for taking time to coach, encourage, and have honest conversations, creating an environment where people feel valued while still being challenged to grow.

“Our team is everything to us, and Jess truly understands that,” said Bryce Steffen, Owner of Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House. “She cares deeply about our people and our culture, and she leads with both accountability and heart. That’s what makes her such a strong fit for this role.”

“At the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, we welcome everyone,” Splawski said. “You don’t need to be a season pass holder. We love seeing new faces, and we want people to feel comfortable the moment they walk in.”

Guests at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House enjoy a public nine-hole golf course, a full-service restaurant, and a Tap House that is open year-round. The menu features thoughtfully prepared American cuisine made with fresh ingredients, alongside rotating seasonal entrees, as well as 20 craft beers on tap and specialty cocktails made with house-prepared ingredients. “We have a lot of fun with our cocktail menu and draft list,” Splawski noted. “We change things up regularly to keep it interesting.”

The venue also offers an elevated event space at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, hosting rehearsal dinners, weddings, bridal and baby showers, birthday celebrations, reunions, and other gatherings. “We aim to personalize each event to meet the needs of our guests,” Splawski said. “The views really make the space feel special in every season.”

Throughout the year, at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, the team hosts community events such as the Community Easter Egg Hunt, Labor Day weekend fireworks, and the annual Helicopter Golf Ball Drop. “We love hosting the community and giving people a place to spend time together,” said Splawski. “Being part of this town and giving back is something we truly care about.”

Colleagues and guests alike describe Splawski as someone who brings both momentum and heart to everything she does, often juggling multiple responsibilities while keeping the atmosphere positive and encouraging.

As General Manager, Splawski is focused on strengthening collaboration across all areas of the business while preserving the welcoming, community-centered atmosphere that has made the Tap House a local favorite. “I love hospitality and meeting new people,” she said. “Bemus Point really feels like home. It’s a supportive, friendly community just like a Hallmark movie and I’m grateful to be here and to continue serving it.”
