The Jefferson Inn Bed and Breakfast is an Ellicottville symbol of hospitality, known for its charming Victorian ambiance and relaxing atmosphere. The property combines historic architecture with modern comforts and amenities creating the ultimate getaway for locals and visitors alike.

Tracy Diegelman recently purchased the property and officially became its new owner December 29.  “Recently I had found myself looking for the next chapter, searching with intention and honesty for a place where my love of family, home, and community could come together in a deeper way. That search led me to Ellicottville,” explains Tracy.

Tracy was born and raised in the Buffalo area, resided in Lancaster for over 20 years. She is also the current owner of Lancaster Coffee Co. & Café, which she will continue to run.

Located at 3 Jefferson Street in Ellicottville, The Jefferson Inn is tucked just behind the hustle and bustle of main street near the town Gazebo. It was built around 1837 and has main- tained its timeless features with updated modern amenities. The Jefferson Inn was initially opened in 1995 and was the first B&B in the Village. Today, it is the only traditional B&B in the Village serving a full breakfast.

Over the years, Tracy has built and grown small businesses, all rooted in connection and hospitality. Each chapter has been guided by the same belief: that the spaces we create — whether a home, a business, or a gathering place — should feel welcoming, genuine, and grounded in care.

Located at 3 Jefferson Street, The Jefferson Inn is tucked just behind the hustle and bustle of main street near the town Gazebo. It was built around 1837 and has maintained its timeless features with updated modern amenities. The house has been beautifully restored and furnished with antiques and reproductions. The Jefferson Inn was initially opened in 1995 and was the first B&B in the Village. Today, it is the only traditional B&B in the Village serving a full breakfast.

The Jefferson Inn is a Victorian bed & breakfast with a beautiful wraparound porch and outdoor jacuzzi hot tub. Each of the 5 guest rooms are comfortably furnished in their unique décor and have a private bath. The Inn also has 2 cottage suites attached to the main house with their own kitchenettes, and private entrances, while still providing access to the main house.

Tracy has plans of improving the rooms amenities with high-quality linens and rich décor. All guests that stay in the main house receive a 3-course gourmet breakfast. She brings her many years of restaurant and hospitality knowledge to create an unforgettable stay and elegant dining experience.

Tracy’s vision for The Jefferson is to create a higher level of comfort and hospitality. “I’ve added a few personal touches to the décor already,” explains Tracy. “I have a love for French Country décor, like Toile fabrics with bringing in my own furnishings into the space creating elements of opulence and whimsy.  My collection of MacKenzie Child’s also inspires the space.

Tracy loves to host and create memorable experiences. “I pride myself on personal service, the little details, and making welcoming connections.”

“I’m deeply grateful to Jean Kirsch, former owner of the Jefferson Inn, for her mentoring and sharing her 19 years of building the Jefferson’s reputation. It’s an honor to carry forward the care she poured into both the inn and this community.”
