Disney On Ice returns to Buffalo at KeyBank Canter for 7 performances between January 22-25, 2026. Disney On Ice invites families to step inside the magical adventures of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen, the #1 Animated feature of all time, and Disney Animation’s Encanto, as they come to life like never before. This adventure on ice transports fans into two of the most popular Disney films as audiences can sing-along to their favorite songs while embracing world-class ice skating, aerial acrobatics and more.
The Villager was invited for an up close and personal interview with performer Erin Darang, an ensemble skater with Disney On Ice presents Frozen & Encanto. Erin began skating when she was only 4 years old; performing with Disney On Ice has always been a dream for her. She was a competitive skater for about 10 years before joining the cast. “I was inspired after attending Disney On Ice presents Into the Magic,” explains Erin. “I was captivated by the performers, entranced by the charac-ters and I wanted to give that magical experience to others.”
Erin started touring with Disney On Ice presents Frozen & Encanto in September 2025. “It’s been an amazing experience,” describes Erin. “I get to skate alongside amazing performers and share the ice with incredible characters, like Olaf. It’s a magical experience skating along with butterflies and dandelions during ‘In Summer.’” Erin loves hearing the crowd’s reaction. “It was almost shocking how loudly the crowd cheers for Olaf,” laughs Erin. “It’s still my favorite part of the show.”
Since signing on 6 months ago, Erin has had the privilege of visiting many new states, including Michigan, Tennessee, Arizona, California and Utah. “It was incredible spending 3 weeks in California, visiting San Jose, Sacramento and Oakland. It was truly wonderful seeing all the west coast has to offer, and to have been able to travel there for my dream job with Disney On Ice was unbelievable.”
Erin feels grateful to be sharing this experience alongside such amazing performers. “We all have one common goal – to provide a magical experience to the crowd. I’ve grown to love the whole cast; we’re like one big family.”
Disney On Ice presents Frozen & Encanto tours in the United States through March, ending in Pennsylvania, before traveling to South America for two months. “I’m excited to bring this magical show to South America. It will be incredible performing in another continent and experiencing the culture.”
Erin plans to perform with Disney On Ice for as long as her body will allow. “It’s been my dream, and I hope to be able to continue as long as possible.”
