As another summer comes to an end, it’s time to celebrate the arrival of our vibrant fall season. The Village of invites you to attend the Bemus Point Fall Festival, taking place throughout the village from September 12-14, from 10am-5pm each day. This year’s festival offers a fantastic opportunity to support Bemus Point’s small businesses, restaurants, bars, and local vendors. Enjoy plenty of shopping, a car cruise-in, live music, and fun activities for kids, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy, both young and old alike.
From Lakeside Drive to the Bemus Point Golf Club and Tap House, Main Street will be the hub of the festival, and it will be lined with vendors. This street market will feature over seventy vendors, including artisans who sell handcrafted art, home decor, candles, jewelry, clothing, and other specialty items. There will also be food vendors in a food court area near the Tap House, offering a variety of delicious foods as well as sweet treats like kettle corn and homemade baked goods.
The Bemus Tap House will also serve as the venue for some of the other events during the festival. A beer garden will be set up for the weekend, allowing adults to enjoy a cold beverage. On Saturday, there will be a classic car cruise-in from 12pm-4pm. This event is open to all types of cars, so polish up your ride and bring it along for others to admire. If you don’t have a classic car to showcase, you’re welcome to stroll through and gaze at the vehicles as a spectator.
Also, the Tap House will be having live music during this festival weekend. Performing on their recently installed new stage will be Lenny and the Landshark on Friday, who will be playing music spanning many genres and generations from 6pm-9pm. Saturday, DJ Carmello will spin the tunes from 1pm-4pm followed by Rockabilly Steve from 6pm-9pm. On Sunday, they welcome back Black Widow’s duo, as the talented Lana and Dustin will be playing their acoustic sets of rock and pop music from 1pm-4pm.
You can bring your kids over to the Musky Mall on Alburtus Avenue, where they can enjoy a free petting zoo and some awesome face painting on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm. They can also check out the pumpkin painting at the Village Casino, that is starting at noon. Kids can get creative and get them into the fall spirit while decorating their own pumpkin to take home.
Just down the street, the Bemus Point Historical Society will host an Open House, where you can explore exhibits and learn about the fascinating history of Bemus Point from 11am-3pm. Additionally, the Lawson Center will have an Open House with free admission on Saturday and Sunday from 11am-3pm. At this center, you can learn about local boating history and view exhibits of antique and classic boats.
On Main Street, there will be a Book Sale on Saturday from 10am-2pm at the Bemus Point Library. They have plenty of books for adults and children in their new Book Sale Room. People looking for books can give a reasonable donation.
Many of the area merchants are getting involved in the fall theme with their Draw-a-Leaf discounts. Participating businesses will have customers draw a leaf, revealing a discount, ranging from 5% to 50% off their purchases. Many of the other Bemus Point restaurants will feature the fall theme and may include food and drink specials. Some of these venues maybe be having live music as well, so check out their websites or Facebook pages for additional information.
The Bemus Point Business Association and the Village of Bemus Point have coordinated this great Fall Festival. They want to give a special thanks to Shults Auto Group, UBS Auer & Associates, Southern Tier Marina, the Bemus Point Lodge, and the Bemus Point Business Association for being this festival’s sponsors. The support from these sponsors is what makes the festival possible.
The Bemus Point Fall Festival is a wonderful annual event that celebrates the end of summer and welcomes the scenic fall season. Head on out to Bemus Point from September 12th to 14th to enjoy a lovely autumn day while supporting the community as you enjoy shopping, savor some delicious food, and experience all the great entertainment this fun fall festival has to offer.
