Saturday, September 13 marks the first Seneca Sips Beer & Wine Festival at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino from 2-6pm. The festival will feature beer offerings from dozens of local, regional and national brewers as well as local wines, food, and live music surrounded by beautiful scenery.
According to Linda Hitchcock, General Manager, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, the resort was inspired to host an outdoor event to celebrate the beauty of the fall season in the region. “Even though Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino has been redefining excitement in the Southern Tier for more than 20 years, this is a whole new event for us,” says Hitchcock. “We’re excited to make it one of the most memorable days of what has been a spectacular summer. We are so fortunate to be in one of the most beautiful areas. The Southern Tier is exceptional, especially in late summer as we head toward the fall season. We wanted to craft a day that really celebrates and builds on our natural surroundings – a fun day when people can be outside and enjoy themselves in this wonderful setting that we call home.”

Hitchcock describes the event as an elevated backyard party with food, drinks, music, and fun. “We’re very excited to host a fun day with guests, neighbors and friends from throughout the region,” she said. “Two great bands, Uncle Bens Remedy and The Iron Eyes Experience, will keep the energy fun and festive. There will be a mouthwatering pig roast as well as delicious tastings from several local, regional, and national brewers, local wines, and plenty of ways to have fun throughout the afternoon.”
Committed participants to date include: 42 North, 1911 Cider, Big Ditch, Buffalo Olde Brewery, Ellicottville Brewing Company, Founders, Hamburg Brewing Company, Owls Brew, Resurgence/Black Bird and Southern Tier Brewing Company.
Hitchcock and the rest of the Seneca Allegany team are looking forward to hosting this inaugural event, and hope for it to continue for many years. “Typically, at our resort, all of the action takes place indoors. We’re looking forward to hosting an outdoor party in our beautiful surroundings. We think this is going to be one of the signature events in the Southern Tier this year.”
