Dispensary Opens in Ellicottville

   Since the legalization of recreational cannabis many people have decided to use their knowledge and business sense to open stores to market marijuana and marijuana products. Ellicottville has recently had one of those stores open on Monroe Street right behind the Blue Collar Workwear Store on Washington Street. Enchanted Mountains Canna Co. is owned by Christina Marquez, helping Ellicottville’s woman owned businesses grow even more. The Villager caught up with Christina to learn more about her endeavor. Her husband Ed and she answered some questions:

The Villager (V): Tell us about yourself?

Marquez (M): We are a woman-owned, service-disabled, veteran-owned small business passionate about wellness, access, and community. Our mission is to provide safe, legal and high-quality cannabis products while supporting local farmers and education our customers.

V: What is your background?

M: The dispensary is owned by the Blue Collar Workwear family. We’re proud New Yorkers—born and raised in Salamanca—and we’ve combined our backgrounds and military service to bring this vision to life.

V: Why a dispensary?

M: After serving in the military and working in community health, we saw firsthand how cannabis can be an effective, natural alternative for pain relief, anxiety, sleep, and overall wellness. Opening a dispensary felt like the right way to serve our community again—this time through education, access, and empowerment.

V: What made you decide on Ellicottville?

M: Ellicottville is a vibrant town with a strong sense of community and a growing interest in wellness. It’s also a destination spot, which allows us to connect with both locals and visitors seeking trusted, quality cannabis in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

V: What do you sell?

M: We offer a wide variety of state-licensed cannabis products including flower, edibles, vapes, tinctures, pre-rolls, topicals, and concentrates. We do not sell anything other than cannabis products. No papers, pipes or anything else.

V: What sells the best?

M: Edibles and pre-rolls are very popular among both new and experienced customers. We also see a lot of interest in our flowers. We are working with local growers to have “Local Grown” section.

V: Any specials or promotions?

M: We are planning a grand opening celebration in October and will definitely have special promotions. We host in-store events and educational sessions to help people learn more about cannabis and how to use it safely. We also have online ordering with in-store pick-up. We plan on offering delivery services coming this fall.

V: Is there anything else you’d like to add?

M: We’re more than just a dispensary— we’re here to build trust, break stigma, and make cannabis approachable for everyone. As a local and veteran-owned business, we’re deeply invested in supporting our community and promoting responsible use.
