Glen Park Art Festival in Williamsville
July 26 & 27 Event Adorned with Award-Winning Artists

    The annual, fifteen-year-old Glen Park Art Festival in Williamsville, NY, which always takes place the last weekend in July, will include the work of over 140 artists this year.  The arts and crafts categories of the items that will be available for sale in the booths include: photography, paintings, pottery, jewelry, graphic arts, mixed media artwork, fiber and leather items and more. Other highlights of the festival will include: music entertainment, free kids’ activities, artist demonstrations, delicious food and the joy of visiting beautiful Glen Park. 

    “My favorite subjects to paint are flowers, animals and local landscapes”, said Laura McMahon, whose booth will feature “Watercolors by Laura McMahon”. “My collection includes originals, prints in various sizes and different price points and coordinating coasters.” She won the Buffalo Garden Walk poster contest two years in a row, with flower images, in 2022 and 2023.  “My poster designs were inspired by my own past visits to the Buffalo Garden Walk”, she said. “ I wanted to keep the designs simple, eye-catching and fresh! Generally, I paint subjects that inspire me, hoping in return that I can inspire others.”

There will be over 140 artists at the
event. Other highlights of will include:
music, free kids’ activities, food and the
joy of visiting beautiful Glen Park.

    Lynn Schwab, of “Lynn Schwab Jewelry”, is another festival artist who won a major award two years in a row. In 2022 and 2023, her jewelry was designated by “Buffalo Spree” magazine as “Best of WNY Handmade Jewelry”. It’s made from vintage hammered metal, gemstones and other materials. 

     Another recent award-winner who will be there, painter Thomas Paul Asklar, won the “Best of Show Award” at the Allentown Art Festival in 2023, and many other honors. 

    In the course of his twenty-eight-year career, thousands of Western New Yorkers have decorated their homes and offices with photographer David Lawrence Reade’s photos. At the Festival, he will be displaying some of his most popular, including “Buffalo Skyline in Infrared”, “New Day Born”, “Painted Sky” and “Autumn Fireworks”. 

    For almost three decades, potter Junko McGee has been creating excellent pottery, that combines beauty with usefulness.

    Some of the many other artists who will be there, ready to answer questions for visitors, include: jewelry maker Kaylee Taylor, whose company is “Woodland Signatures”; Sue McGee, of “Windy Day Glass”; Gerard Makin, of “Gerard’s Elephant Handcrafted Furniture”; and Eric Woods, the graphic artist behind “Buffalo City Buff”.   

    The Glen Park Festival will take place this year on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, and Sunday, July 27th, 2025 between 10am-5pm on both days. The park is located at 5565 Main Street in Williamsville, NY.
